There's currently a glitch (still live) on Amazon where you will get a Nvidia code immediately if you "buy" a 1070 or 1080. The system immediately sends out the code before charging money and people are using credit card generators and cards without money on them to get them. The order for the GPU is canceled but the NVidia code is already received.

There is a chance of revocation obviously. It should be noted that there has been similar glitches (mostly with Newegg) in the past where the Nvidia code would be revoked, but the game received was not. This is a new ballgame though since its a Microsoft store redeem, so its unknown how its going to be handled.

Update Oct 1: Revocations are being reported.

I saw someone selling x10 codes but then they edited it to "codes". Though not sure if they were actually going to scam since I trust that site's users, but I wonder.

I wouldnt bet on all sellers "planning" to scam i.e. I've seen a few advertising exactly where they got the codes (from an exploit) and at least one will refund if it gets revoked and another one is basically saying your risk to get one. Its best to ask where they got one and even for proof considering how much these are proliferating right now. They're literally all over every single game trading site I can think of at the moment.

The volume of codes going around is the issue, theres a high chance if its an exploited key that it gets revoked. At the very least if someone does get one, redeem it immediately and cross your fingers.

People redeem games on MS/Win store? Thought MS was bringing all games to Steam because nobody bought them from there. :P

They give PC copy free for Xbox Digital buyers, so they can say we sold X copies for PC.

Xbox Live games will never come to Steam again. When MS games do come to Steam, they'll have XBL stripped from them.

And QB has had all signs of XBL removed... >_<

MS are never going to sell a non-Xbox live version of Gears ot War or Forza. So that's what I meant lol

They are bringing all Xbox games to PC, but on the Windows store thing.

And they might later release games on steam to sell more copies.
