Temporary whitelisting - reus 2 (ended)

I'm definitely not qualified for the giveaway but you reminded me of this game and now I'm definitely going to give it another go later. Kinda forgot it was in my library.

Nice idea.

I played it a few hours back in 2022 and have it still installed but i can't call it serious because of the low amount of playtime.
So i don't want to enter the GA.

I played the 1st one quite a bit and I liked it... but not on steam, in 2013 I didn't have the money to get any games at all and I didn't know about bundles or steamgift so I used other, less official method ;)

I remembered the rock giant but totally forgot what game he was from while I was looking for it as it looks like a good game to chillout while creating my own world.

Checked my play-time and was surprised that it was only 14 hrs. I think I liked it way more than I have play-time in it. At one point I failed to make any more progress, probably because of my playstyle. I definitely felt that there was more to it, than what I managed to uncover.

So I immediately wishlisted Reus 2 when they announced it. :)

Actually I liked playing Reus but I started playing in a time with heavy work load. At one point I forgot about it but I'd like to play it again and also Reus 2. I grew up playing "Black and White" and since that time I was looking for similar games. I'd like to join :)

I didn't play the first one because i saw this game here for the first time. Is it really that good?

i think it was one of the 1st steam games i purchased.
ive only got 6.2 hours and 21 achievements on it

I remember playing this game back in 2014 when I was a kid lol, I had forgotten it's name and seeing the rock giant again brought so many memories again :D

I wishlisted it on steam and I'll get both 1 and 2 on a sale again :)

(used the same unofficial methods Tucs mentioned to play the first version as well since I was a kid :P)

Too bad I haven't got the first yet. Tried it once and I liked. So bad luck for me, but it's a great way to give away a sequel. Not the first time I see this, dunno if it was you or someone else who had the same idea.

It's on my backlog but I haven't played it yet. Still, I think it's an interesting way to giveaway a sequel.

oh my god this is a legend game about god's planet. I remember a long time ago this topic was popular and many games appeared then, I watched part 1 on YouTube, unfortunately I don’t have the game itself, it’s a pity I won’t be able to participate in the second part (You remember Doodle good, right?) I played on a non-Steam version so to speak)

Fiddled with the first one once, and have yet to go back to playing it. So only 78 minutes of play time.
I remember it had a fun premise, but i got distracted by a shinier game at the time.

Just went to check that game in my library. I had it in my "unplayable" category. Because it kept crashing. Found the branch that makes it possible to actually play, so I'm giving it a try now.

I remember this game... sadly it's in my never ending backlog of games. All i can say is that i wishlisted the game ages ago, and won it here on SG 10 years ago it seems. I'm not going to request to get in as it does not make any sense for me to act like i am suddently interested in the game just to get WL'd. It is more fair to allow someone that actually put time in the first game to try and win the 2nd one.

To be able to play everything and catch up, i would need to multitask 3 or 4 games at the sametime efficiently but that is impossible. Plus as i grow older, i seem to loose interest in trying more things and seem to settle down with some games longer than usual. In my early 20's and mid 20's, i used to jump around games, play for a bit, see if i liked, if i did, continued to play and usually finish it. However this meant i would have multiple games with like less than 2 hours of playtime, since i was "trying it out", i moved from that towards checking gameplay from others, as it saves me a bit of time on deciding what to play, but then again, time is an issue, on top of all the options in the backlog. I even stopped buying games unless i really wanted them for like 2 years to focus on my backlog and went through like 10% of my library back then in that time period. The same principle applies to anime and manga, i used to watch many things in the past, but now i settle down with few things and usually 1 or 2 of the new more mainstream stuff going on...

My backlog has been expanding since Q4 2012, which means i have games since that time period which i still have to play. I still have to play supreme commander 2, gifted by an old friend from an old gaming community in 2011, back then the game was causing my system to crash with BSOD randomly within 15 minutes of launching it, i think it was memory related issues as my computer back then was not the best thing for gaming but it could handle valve games good enough, which is what i grew up with.

This topic however, gave me an idea... Perhaps i should start using the activations list on steam and go from oldest to newest activations, gotta be honest, i would have to speedrun a lot of games and most likely leave them behind to have any hope of keeping up with what i buy.

PS: There are also games i replayed way too many times, some of which were in co-op with a friend, some others are nostalgia...

I remember playing a few sessions in 2013, however I didn't own it myself. Joined a hundred or so giveaways but never won it.
So I bought it instead yesterday out of nostalgia after reading this thread. Having fun, even though the game just crashed right now.
