The adventure ones with a great story and endearing characters ! (google trad)
The stats provided on this website are super interesting, the ones about the genre of games we buy vs the genre of games we play.
We can notice sometimes that our favorite genre is not what we thought.
And where we spend too much money vs time spent.
For example, i noticed i bought too much racing games vs time spent playing them, so now... i try to not buy any more.
About the genre you like...
Well... Clicker are super addictive and time-consuming, it's a love/hate relationship.
And visual novels, i really don't like them usually. Except for example Long live the queen or 1931: Scheherazade at the library of Pergamum (stats visual novels).

No i mean, usually i don't like visual novels. Except stats ones that i like. So i liked Long live the queen and 1931. :p
But i got 1931 from a bundle, would have never bought it full price !
1931 is less dynamic than Long live the queen, it's really a loooot of texts !
Long live the queen, i got it maybe 6€ before bundle and well worthed the price !
Didn't know crush crush, thanks for advice i'll take a look !
(and i agree about horror)

Puzzle games. But not "like chains 2 re-linked or bejewelled", more like Portal, The Talos Principle and The Witness. So first person puzzle games I guess. RPG comes next I guess. But honestly, it's more about having a good story/mechanics than being in any genre

I've chosen RPG because Baldur's Gate II, Fallout II and Gothic II are probably my most favorite games of all time but I love anything with good plot and characters (especially if they have a horror element to them) though I've found myself playing mostly multiplayer games recently (which I didn't like before).

It would be easier to tell you what I don't like. This is a list of the type of games I block when I see these tags.
My favorite type would probably be atmospheric, open world, adventure or exploration games.

I pretty much play everything. I don't just buy things from one genre. It would get too boring otherwise.

I like games like GTA, Tomb Raider, God Of War... No category for them?

This is one of the times where I wish you could vote for multiple things as HOGs, puzzle games and FPS are all my favourite, it just depends on the day. Voted for HOG as today is the "I really wanna play some HOG games" day.

I voted for HOGs, because I'm very fond of them. But there are more that I enjoy, like clickers (well, 2 of them - CotLI and Idle Champions - both developed by Codename Entertainment), action RPGs, logic adventures and puzzle platformers :)

I play a bunch of different genres. Exceptions are Visual Novels and Multiplayer only games since I very rarely play those. Racing, Fighting and FPS are also not currently on my gaming menu but I play them from time to time.
My favourite genres are:
