Will you now get windows 10?
likewise. I have windows 7 64bit Ultimate. I had the option to buy windows 8 or windows 7 with my specifically built system. Windows 8 was a no no for a desktop.
Now that Microsoft have announced continued support till 2020 (and not the end of 2015) for windows 7 we have time now to keep windows 7. I thought it was stupid that they announced discontinued support for win 7 and nothing about shitty Vista.
I also did read that they had now included windows 7 to get windows 10 for free (previously it was just windows 8 users). Not sure how that will work though, would we need to send off our windows disks or get a free download (of which it gets turned off after a year) so what about system re-installs, how would that work

Dear Corporate World
Please make a proper solid OS that isn't based around shitty ass app's but proper good old fashioned well written software and programs.
Sincerely
The Internet who will tell you to shutup and take my money if this happens.

You cant change back when you did the upgrade from 7,8 to win 10 - your key will not work for the older version anymore
And i think its better to wait and see how "microsoft" will make moeny with windows in future (somehow they have to do the moeny when give win10 for free)
I will never buy win 10 when they go like base is free and upgrades for everything will be sold like apps for apple (and i think this will happen). Or even RENT the upgrades^^ like they will do with office.
When they go like you can rent directX 13 for only 1,99 per month and skype premium only 2,39 per month and all the other shit than i will seriously skip this shit^^

Nice! I knew it was going to be a free upgrade from Windows 8, but I'm happy to hear I'll get a free copy with my Windows 7 license. It's interesting to check out the developer preview in my VM, but I imagine it will be much nicer to use as a full OS after they work out all the kinks. I'll probably wait a little while after release before I upgrade, but I do want to take advantage of the faster boot times and such.

I'm running Win 8.1 right now and have tested the Win 10 builds a month or so ago, but I don't know if I'll upgrade. I've been playing around with eOS (Linux distro) for a few months now and I'm actually thinking of making the full jump to Linux, but....the games. :( 70% of my library will be unplayable on Steam which is the only thing stopping me from making the full switch.
