Is Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons worth buying for 2,5$?

Was also wondering about this. My solution was to make a giveaway for it, and hope the winner tells me if it's worth getting a copy for myself too. :)

I hate you, I thought the game was actually on sale for 2,5$ =(

I'm not sure too, I'm afraid it could be in a bundle soon. Moreover, I have only one coupon and I'd like to wait for other deals. Like Hitman Abolution for $5 (which would make it free).

I can only say this - it is worth 25 dollars, if not more. It is a best thing that happened to me in the game world since Fallout 2 =) Really, just go and buy it. You will love almost every minute of it, and also you will cry like a little beep in the end. And after finishing it, you will want to play it again. That's how good it is.

I bought it for about $5 during the steam sale and while I didn't like it as much as some did I thought it was a good experience that was worth playing. I can't really think of another game to compare it to. The characters speak and act in a way that reminded me of the sims where they make gestures and the tone of the things they are saying convey what they mean more than what they are saying. Like I said I paid $5 out of my steam wallet without much hesitation and I don't have a problem with that so being able to get it for 2.50 is an even better deal for a good little game.

The story is told thru the gameplay and visuals, the characters talking just kind of adds noise. I feel that if the characters did actually speak english or something it would lessen the story.

One of my favorite games of the year, but it's also a niche game. You need a controller to play it for the joysticks, and you need to be open to mechanics-driven narratives and a short game that doesn't diversify on replays. It is just this story of two brothers going through environmental puzzles that are beautiful. If you're open for that, for 2-4 hours, then yeah, jump on it.

The game is worth $2.5, but don't expect too much. Storywise, it's not that great, there is nothing innovative, but the scenery is great and the idea of controlling two characters at the same time is a good one. I'd give it a 7/10 tops.

For me it's the best game of 2013. It may be short, but was it does, it does nearly perfect. I can't think of any other game that achieved this level of perfection last year. It's an experience no one should miss.

Bought it. Unfortunately I have to wait to play it until Friday, because my notebook sucks (i3 only, no separate graphics card) and I left my Rumblepad at home too. Anyway I hope I'll like it :) Thanks for your help!
