Friends,

it has been done.... thanks to an IT guy from my previous company (i've changed job last monday) and some money I managed to save, I have finally a hopefully quite decent pc!

specs - went for a silent build, and it is indeed really really quiet! can barely hear it and temperatures seems all right so far

  • CPU: Intel - Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core
  • Video Card: MSI Armor - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Video Card
  • CPU Cooler: be quiet! - Dark Rock Pro 3
  • Motherboard: MSI - Z270 SLI PLUS ATX LGA1151
  • Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
  • SSD: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5"
  • HDD: Hitachi - Ultrastar 7K3000 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM
  • Case: be quiet! - Silent Base 600 (Red) ATX Mid Tower Case
  • Power Supply: Corsair - RMx 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX
  • Operating System: W10
  • Monitor X2: BenQ - GL2460HM 24.0" 1920x1080 60Hz Monitor

we had a moment of "oh damn wtf" when we started it for the first time... nothing was happening. then we checked and we started playing with the 2 RAMs, it looks like one is faulty... since we moved it around 3 different ports and we always had nothing happening. will try to get a new one from the big A.
I believe my current bottlenecks are basically my monitors and my internet speed... but can't do much for the latter :)

so yeah... will start playing all the games i've won here first!

GIBS, level 3+

only my blue people, i <3 you all

edit: thanks for all your replies, this was my first ever built! I asked around what part should i get and why... tried to do some research but the got overwhelmed and went with what i felt "right" for what i needed/wanted. made some minor mistakes, will try to improve my knowledge guys :)
