For a day I was constantly wiping my nose and sneezing. And that alone was enough to hurt the skin on my nose and lips.
I'm much better, although I still have some discomfort in my nose and throat.

I love metroidvanias and just won Hollow Knight yesterday. I have been wanting to play this game for a long time.
Also, Christmas and all the stress that comes with it is over and that is a good thing.

Oh dang, you're in for a real treat! I've been waiting for the sequel since it was announced 14 years ago.

That sounds awesome!
I'm curious to know what you made. Do you make sweets too?

Oh man, it's been a long week. Ummm. I made crepes (ham/cheese/avocado, but also dessert like strawberry/lemon, cinnamon sugar and butter, we dress our own favorites). Crock pot shredded beef, which was later used to make pan-crisped tacos. Gingerbread cookies that we decorated. Gluten free brownies. Loaded baked potato (these are pretty easy and yum, for those tired peeps out there). I guess we also made some chocolate chip-toffee cookies for my kid's class right before the break. Just did two imitation crab sushi rolls with a side of quick miso soup and some diced salmon, plus a few tempura shrimp (you can get it frozen from Trader Joe's or fish shop and just bake, mmm). Oh, waffles. Grilled cheese sandwiches, with thin sliced tomato.
My husband busted out some salmon flank roasted in homemade unagi sauce, which was very yum and an exercise for him. So tasty. Our oranges are super tart but juicy, and were perfect for this.
Got into a rhythm of cooking during COVID lockdown, but it suffered once work and school started in person again, so I try to get back into it during holidays. But man, got COVID twice in quick succession around March, and everything is a struggle with energy. Clawing it back carefully with copious naps and careful energy management!
Anyway. Tasty food is tasty.

That's just so much yummy food. Not moment for a diet. :c
Uhh I got Covid just once, quite easy going one. But the problem is I was more than 1 year with bad taste and bad smelling. All was like rotten to me. Took me a long time to enjoy the food normally again. Still not sure if it was the Covid or the Russian vaccine...

Ok, that's a cool idea. Ma grandma died but wait i've something better to say. I gifted her a dog plush.
And then i just met my family, and someone got the idea to gift this plush to the youngest of the family.
She immediately adopted the plush dog, ran around with it and cuddled it for days, telling us "wouf wouf, look it's my dog wouf wouf"
It's the innocence of the youngest. It's just purity. It's just beautiful.

We made tiramisu on monday, it was great. I usually never bake, cook or anything of the sort.
In general I've been happier recently, could be because my dosage of antidepressant was doubled.
I'm excited about having some new headphones, I've been delving into midfi.

Today the last guest left my house and I can finally can cook my favorite meals again!
And my Sonos Sub 4, that I ordered as a gift to myself, should be delivered on Tuesday. No idea what Amazon did there but at the 26th I got a notification that it appeared in Madrid ...

Thats nice!
We managed to help a friendly but scaredy stray cat that visited us(to eat) that got sick- being a stray we were worried he would disappear after the whole kidnapping and doctor and all that... after awhile he re appeared now extremely thankfull (and finally let us touch him). And he puts his tongue out when he wants cuddling. Doctor said he had some badly cured broken teeth/jaw and some cats could stick their tongue out or drool from injuries like that, he sometimes drool but he mostlyy kept his tongue hidden.
He knows sticking out the tongue makes everyone say 'owww' and fall for him. That cat weaponized his tongue. Puss in boots have nothing on him

I've had 3 weeks off of work, and I've managed to get a lot done on the game I'm creating. Just a few more little tweaks and then it will be ready for final testing. Hoping to launch it in February. Certainly not expecting a big turn out to play it, as it's pretty niche, but I've always wanted to create a game, just to say I did it and it's stretched my brain in new ways, which is always nice as we get a bit older.

My niece and I went to a pretty awesome New Year performance yesterday. It's not that easy to find one that's actually witty and not banal, after all, the kid is 10 already, and she's rather demanding, but this one was fun even for grown-ups. And the gift was a set for chemical experiments instead of usual sweets - that's a nice touch! I also bought her some small stuff her mom forbids - because aunts are kinda supposed to spoil the little ones, yeah :) Then we went to a café and exchanged some pre-holiday gifts, so yes, I dare say, that was a nice day for a change!

Recently I've seen a lot of discussions with a negitive tone which is fine everyone has a bad day or day's, but it doesn't hurt to talk about the good days as well. That's why I ask for you to tell me one or multiple good things that have happened recently. It can be something major or something small like the weather. For example, I went on a hike a couple of day's ago and my grumpy old dog seemed to revert to a puppy which was adorable to watch.
