Well, I used it simply because people might find "blacks" offensive which was the initial reason behind the title itself.
Once it generated attention I simply decided to continue "the joke" without the whole racist thing ;>

it's so uncomfortable to be called an African-American. people being too politically correct makes them look dumb in my humble opinion. also find the phrase "the n-word" more offensive than the word itself.

All humans come from Africa, just some migrated sooner/more far.

I've never seen anyone take offense to being called black or African American until I got to high school. My teacher at the time asked the black students if they preferred to be addressed as African Americans or just simply black. Most of them said they preferred to be called black, but either was fine. One of the ladies actually said they didn't want to be called "African American" because they were not from Africa
