Another pathetic mediocre sale. I spent my money on some good games like 2 months ago when there was a big sale on GMG and got myself Dishonored 2, Dishonored Death to the outsider, Shadow of War Definitive Edition, Fallout 4 Goty, Batman Arkham Knight Ultimate or something, Wolfenstein Old Blood, Prey Deluxe. Basically some games that have been on my wishlist for years, that Steam failed to put up on sale for more than 75% I got on GMG even cheaper cause each gave a discount of 12 or 15% on top of the 75 or 80% they were on sale at the time. Around 50 euros that Steam won't get behind because their latest sales were garbage, I miss the old days when a Steam sale was actually something exciting to wait because you'd get one of those games you've been waiting to for so long. But now because of their greed these sales are nothing worth fussing about

I haven't checked my wishlist yet but... I don't recall the Halloween sale being incredible anyway. Like, ever. Their biggest sales have always been the summer and winter ones. That said... the QuakeCon sale was pretty amazing, in my humble opinion. Picked up Prey, Rage and Dishonored 1 at their lowest price.
If you find this Halloween sale to be horrible... well, that's good, isn't it? I mean... your wallet is safe from Gaben's grasp. You can spend your money elsewhere, as you see fit. ;)

Devs set the prices, they just noticed the past few years that they can ask more and still sell a ton. Other shops have to be a bit more 'convincing' to get noticed.

And a lot more. So, I really don't get what are you talking about.
I have 14 games that were on my interest/wishlist being historically low and that's on the $2 section alone
And as mentioned before, Steam only contacts the devs about the sale and the devs are the ones who but the prices, not Steam.

Bought The Witcher 2, Omikron, Controller Companion, Cradle (lowest recorded price) and Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments (lowest recorded price). It's not bad for me, but we know that Winter Sale will be a lot better.

Its not like there aren't sales right now (23K according to SteamDB) and its not like they don't have a working page for the sale (which is still at https://store.steampowered.com/sale/halloween2019)
So it would seem they didn't delay any sales. Maybe tomorrow they'll theme up the front page, but at this rate I doubt it unless they're going to run some complicated Steam sale game once again that doesn't generate trading card or inventory items.

Agreed, it was a nice surprise. I know it'll go deeper, probably in spring after the first couple of seasons in Shadowkeep have run, but I'm ready for it now, so I'm not likely to regret it later. My gigantic backlog means I can be very patient on most games, but this one is ready for the oven.
