What's your favorite era of music?
I would suggest you go for Guacamelee or Ori, just because I enjoy a Metroidvania every now and then.

Out of those games I've beaten and enjoyed:
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (I'd say play this first, it's not a super long game)
Ken Follett's Pillars of the Earth
Ones I've played and enjoyed, but didn't finish for some reason:
My Time at Portia (Long game)
Spyro Reignited Trilogy (I think I got stuck at a certain jump in the...second game?, went to play something else and didn't come back!)
I'd recommend all of these depending on the genres you like to play.
Otherwise some other interesting ones on your list I wouldn't mind trying..
Farcry 3
Ori
Divinity Original Sin 2
Thronebreaker
The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan

I can definitely recommend MTaP and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. MTaP is really long (took me like 80 hours to finish the main story and there's still a lot of content left for me to do), but it was a fun Stardew-like, and SRT is a classic.
@cynnix I'm not sure which jump you're referring to., in the 2nd game the bane of my existence were a few of those minigames. I know the first game had a couple levels of hidden cryptic stuff, but I'd absolutely recommend the 3rd game in a heartbeat should you go back to it.

Thank you! I remember being stuck on a few parts of Spyro when I was a kid. I think they were some of the minigames. I specifically remember the egg guy taunting me, even though I did eventually get him lol
I added yours suggestions to my list, thanks again!

You can finish Finding Paradise with the 3rd part of the series, Impostor Factory coming out on 30th september. In my own opinion it is a bit weaker than To The Moon, but still a solid story game.
GRIS is wonderful to let yourself enjoy the music and visuals.
Trine 4 is more of the same as previous Trines. Casual puzzle platform adventure better in co-op.
I only played the demo of Operation Tango, but it seems to be similar to the We Were Here series, that's some fun puzzle co-op based on communicating.
Hades is in my opinion the best roguelite right now, greek mythology, nice music, solid action that has a great flow once you get more upgrades, the only downside is the grindiness to reach the epilogue of the story that doesn't seem that worth it, might as well play until beating the main story (beat Hades 10 times)
Hellblade: Senua's has a nice story to experience, but don't expect much of the gameplay, at least it's easy.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a solid sequel, fun platform metroidvania
Nier Automata, great game, story told through 5 endings.

Hades is about replaying the same zones and the story is progressed by dialogue only.
But in Nier Automata there is some replaying and new content that continues the story too. If you don't mind getting yourself spoiled, you can check how much of it is replaying and how much of it is the new content.

Played Hades on Xbox Game Pass and had a blast. Smooth gameplay, tons of content, exciting gameplay. At first it might be a bit ambiguous of what means what but you learn quickly as you go and it has it's charm of discovering things at the exactly right pace. Go for it if you've enjoyed games like Hollow Knight, Nuclear Throne, Enter the Gungeon :)

Outer Wilds is one of my favorites. If you like exploration and mysteries without handholding this is a must. Absolutely unique experience which will stay with you forever.
If you like rogue-lites you can't go wrong with Hades. It's a bit grindy, but great and full of character nevertheless. Or you can pick a classic Isaac instead.
Hotline Miami and My friend Pedro are short and full of adrenaline, easy recommendation.
For a heartwarming experience play Undertale, or if you don't really like visuals you can play Ori.
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice example of great artistic choices in visual and audio storytelling. Don't go there for the combat though.
Vampire: The Masquerade is one of the greats, but it's laggy and visually outdated, but the core is brilliant. As far as I know, you would need to set up some mods to be able to play it.
You got more great games, but I wanna recommend avoiding some.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War is fun for few hours, but shallow, grindy and poorly written. If you played the previous installment and it's your favorite game, you might wanna try this, but it doesn't really bring anything new. Go to Arkham Asylum instead.
The same goes for Far Cry Primal... if you have played FC4 or FC5 or FC3...you don't need to play any other and primal and blood dragon are the worst in the whole series. FC3 was really great at the time of the release, but it doesn't hold that well, main villain is still great, but fresh for the time gameplay, doesn't feel fresh or interesting anymore. All Ubi games are extremely sammy, full of grind and busy-work activities dead worlds. FC and FC2 are different beasts though.
I don't know why everybody loves Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments, it's okay... but it doesn't really feel like detective work, for solving mysteries I would recommend once again Outer Wilds :)
And my most unpopular opinion....avoid Divinity Original Sin 2. It's pure graphomania, 20 hours worth of the story stretched into 120. It's got its moment, combat is solid, character-building is fun...but overall I regret the time I spent on both DOS and DOS2. It would be much better if they were twice as short, but they keep dragging when you already lost interest in a stupid cliche story. The finale is an absolute embarrassment.
oh... Gris - visual over substance.... beautiful pretentious nothing. Don't think you need to avoid it...but I see that everybody recommends it and it didn't really leave any mark on the game industry for a reason.

Yakuza 0 is super really good, but I see you've already played it for a while, so I'd imagine you have an idea of if you like it or not. ^_^'
The Darkness 2 is a fun short FPS (and probably the only FPS series where the player gets to use murder tentacles).
One Finger Death Punch 2 is another game you've already played. Its simplicity makes it very easy to just pick up at any time and play for a while for some quick fun. ^_^
Saints Row 4 is pretty funny, like Saints Row 2 and 3, but this time with superpowers. So even more crazy over-the-top-ness. XD
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is a very good JRPG with honestly a ridiculous attention to world building. After every single story event every character, no matter how minor, gets new lines. It's kinda like every random NPC has their own little story to tell if you keep regularly going to them to check out how they're doing. However, I should mention that this game is just the first chapter of the story and ends on a pretty major "To Be Continued". The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC (SC stands for Second Chapter) continues directly from it. That doesn't mean that they are short, btw- first game is about 40 hours long and the Second Chapter is even longer as far as I heard.
I just recently played Double Cross and it's a very fun little action platformer with a colourful cast of characters. I would definitely recommend it! :D
VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action is... well, you've also played that one a bit and probably have an idea of what it's like, but it's a very... comfy kind of story. With lots of fun, funny and/or relatable characters.
Scribblenauts Unlimited is an... ok toy to play around with. Pretty straightforward and simple usually.
And Batman: Arkham Asylum... is good if you wanna play as Batman punching bad guys, I guess.
There are a lot more good stuff on that list, but these are the ones I've played and have anything to say about. ^_^

Heh, you've quit so many good games so early. Maybe it's a sign you could use a break from "regular" games. If that's the case, I'd recommend Paradise Killer. A laid back, first-person, surreal detective story set in an alternate future Earth history, where a splinter group of humanity lives in a pocket universe Island and worships alien gods by feeding them psychic energy from abducted human cattle. Your job is to solve a murder mystery by combing the island for clues and poking your nose in everyone's business. It's completely over the top audiovisually and lorewise, yet somehow incredibly compelling. Comes with a "killer" soundtrack. And judging by your poll options, you might enjoy it just for the music. Got this in Humble Choice and was kinda blown away by how much I enjoyed it.

I don't mean to overhype it, but Outer Wilds is absolutely one of the best experiences I've ever had with a game. Unique and magnificent.

Hi Stefanig,
Both Gris and Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice are definitely really well made and worth going through.
You have started Gris already, so it's worth at least playing through once to the end, if nothing else, to enjoy the visuals and the wordless storytelling, along with the really awesome music. The game is limited in length, so it's a good choice in that you get to experience it but it doesn't feel like you are going to be stuck in it for too long. Although I wouldn't mind if this game were longer.
Hellblade isn't a game for everyone as it deals with mental health, but it was quite an experience, especially if you play with headphones on. I was really blown away by how everything looked and the way this game was put together. Likewise, it's also not a very long game and it might take a little bit of extra effort to get 100%, just to not miss any of the collectible lore pieces, but they are worth listening to anyway.
Aside from those, the first ones that jumps out at me with basically infinite replay value are Hades and The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. Both have reasonable length runs and offer progressively increasing challenges. Completely different art styles but both games look great. Love all of the stage designs and animations in Hades while Isaac always cracks me up with all of the visual appearance changes based on the power ups. I can see myself spending many more hours in each of these games myself.

You have NieR: Automata. How does one have that game unplayed in their library? Doesn't make sense.
Correct that.
Other than that, Control is a fantastic action game.

Bump. Love the descriptions you give to each giveaway! I like when people add their opinion for each game, even if they have never touched it.
I think you would like Gris, although I never played it. Okami is really beautiful and is one of the games that I can recommend :)

Gonna pick a few games from highest recommend to lowest based off games I've finished.
Spyro: Reignited Trilogy (esp. the 3rd game) --> Nier Automata --> Sonic Mania --> Fallout: New Vegas (esp. if it's the ultimate edition, the DLCs are mostly great) --> My Time at Portia --> Sonic Generations --> Cthulhu Saves the World --> Sonic Adventure DX
Wish you luck, fellow BLAEOer!

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice if you don't mind hearing weird voices in your head, Batman: Arkham Asylum is a really great start of great series, Sunset Overdrive is a great superhero kind of game with really weird and crazy world, Vampyr is ok if you don't mind backtracking with many dialogues. If you liked Saints Row the Third then you should play Saints Row IV if you don't mind more weird story. I can recommend Mass Effect 2 with my whole heart, it's the best sci-fi game in my opinion and it's one of my most favorite games. Nier: Automata has a great story but it takes a really big amount of time to complete it four times to get the full story.

I would go for Crash or Spyro for enjoying a platformer. (Or sonic Mania if you feel like going 2D better).
Danganrompa for a VN treat, or Ace Attorney (both got mystery which is good).
If you prefer action in a Japanese setting Yakuza 0 or Okami are both good.
Guaccamelee is an excellent metroidvania that is really fun to play too.
Gris if you want more of an atmospheric kind of game.
In any case, I hope you will enjoy your time ;3
