AVGN finally reviews Big Rigs (a.k.a. worst game ever)

Same as you, but I liked it instead. But if he says this could be one of his best videos...

I recommend trying a few more, but don't start from the end/recent vids. He's kinda running out of stuff for the character I think. Sort the vid list chronologically, and try watching the first few ever made several years back.

There's not much to get. It's a guy who plays bad old games and passes comment on them. Some people find him funny.

I quite like him. If I've played the same game he is talking about then I can sympathise with him, and find humour having experienced the same thing. If I haven't played that game then I've played other bad games and I know how he feels. I can laugh with him.

It's also easy to laugh at him for sitting through such bad games (even though he's choosing to do it for the views).

Some of the games he talks about I believe he got as a kid and many of them are from the the era when I was a kid. When you don't have an income of your own, you are relying on parents to maybe get you a game once or twice a year at Christmas/birthday, or you're saving up ages for a game from your allowance/doing odd jobs and you end up with a awful game, it's a bad feeling.

I think games were relatively more expensive then too. I remember £40 ($60-$65) games 20 years ago and prices haven't changed much since so that was another factor in maybe having to wait to finally get a game you were looking forward to.

You wait all that time and then because there's no website reviews, not as many reviews altogether, no youtube to check games out on, no forums to talk about the game with people who own it, there is then a higher chance of ending up with a turkey. I'm about the same age as him so maybe I can relate a bit more than others? Takes me back to my childhood and I can now laugh at what at the time would have been a disappointing experience.

Not saying he's just for people my age either, I'm sure most of us have a bought a game that we anticipated highly only to feel let down. Personally, I was more likely to sulk than be angry but I get where he's coming from.
