I have no plans to use Stadia, but I might get it to replace a 1st gen Chromecast and to give the Stadia controller a try just as a wired PC controller.

I was surprised to find out that google stopped selling the Chromecast Ultra and the new model only supports 1080p. I find that really odd in the age of everyone buying cheap 4K TVs. I guess almost every TV is now a smart TV, so you shouldn't need the Chromecast, but I still find it odd.

I wouldn't be surprised if people order lots of these and split them up to sell the 4K Chromecast for a high price since you cannot buy them anymore and then also sell the controllers because Google wants $69 for those. It's just like people buying many copies of cheap game bundles and splitting up the individual games to sell after the sale ends.

Edit: I didn't know that there is a newer Chromecast that comes with Google TV that supports 4K. I guess there would be no purpose for people to buy and resell these for the Chromecasts then, but they could still make a profit selling them to people that want the controllers since these are a lot cheaper.
