Yes, that specific case does happen from time to time. It's not something that is easily fixed though, the system operates on the first price it is given for a game.

I just checked for games that seem valued too high on SGTools...Chaos on Deponia shows about 15 and Stronghold 12 I think.
I gave away 5 copies of Chaos on Deponia so my lvl also went up quite a lot today...but only once xD

This happened to me a lot before hitting level 9 for good. Sometimes sales and glitches on steam can change the level. It will go back to normal with any given changes. Except for if something lowers in price or comes out of early access :)

Don't know about the EA thing, but:
If you give away 5 copies of GTAV and the next day rockstar decides to put the NORMAL (without discount) price at 1$ your CV drops from 300$ to 5$, since the game is now only worth 1 point.

Have a couple removed games where the price even dropped to zero. For these games cg puts in the right price But that might take a year or two. But for games where the normal price drops (or increases) all GAs are effected. Bundled/unbundled status stays the same.

Well for example I gave away batman a few times and it was worth 100P and now its lower in price its now only worth 50P. I still get full CV but the price is lower overall. Its the issue with giving away AAA games. But early access, in most cases they up the price when it is in full release therefore the CV overall increases. So the opposite of what happened to me and Batman :P

By full CV I am talking about how it is classed as unbundled, however it dropped from 100P to 50P after the price change.

But my information is two years old. There was clearly stated :
"Unfortunately, we don't have a system in place to lock in prices - so price drops will cause a reduction in CV. "
