Speaking of playing sound clips ingame.
I have been interested in using some on a server of mine however I have no idea how to play them other then swapping around a bunch of windows sound settings (essentially playing my sounds through my mic instead) which is annoying to do every time.
Now I'm guessing you're not going through all that trouble, and if my hunch was right then, may I ask which program or what technique you're using to play sound clips ingame?
Much obliged, in advance.

HLDJ, and there is one more (posted on hldj forums somewhere). Valve 'upgraded' the in game voice to something that cannot handle playing sound files so you have to change a server variable to use the old one. Should be relatively easy to search for.

Shardok was pulled out of thin air when I was looking for an Elven-ish sounding name in a roleplay that would also not be too clearly Elven.
My last name which I use in place of Shardok on the rare occasion it is taken, GraBug, comes from stealing the Orc naming pattern from The Elder Scrolls and adding Bug for the second part. Although that should really be GroBug apparently as I found out later Gra and Gro show female and male...

Because of these guys. Played MechWarrior relentlessly when I was younger and just utterly adored the Jade Falcons. Years later, when I was choosing a new e-mail address/worldwide username (my old one had been compromised), I thought of Clan Jade Falcon and knew what I had to choose. Problem was, I figured they were the good guys, but about a year ago, I found out they were the antagonists. I'm okay with this.

I'll definitely give it a go, but I was a LOT more interested in the simple reboot. It looked gorgeous and I'm more into single-player mech stomping than multiplayer. I'll still give it a chance, but I really hope what was revealed in 2009 makes a return.

If I know what you're talking about, I think I saw a trailer for it a while back. I haven't heard anything since, but it's going to be (is?) a must-have. I really liked the improvements they made going from MW2 to MW3, but they fixed it where you had to have a lock to fire your LRM's. Before that, even if they were too close, I could just eyeball it and still tear them apart, which is probably why they corrected it, but oh well. It's still awesome beyond words.

Sorry to break it to you, but MechWarrior Online replaced the one you saw the trailer for. :( They couldn't find a publisher willing to do it multiplatform and it was too big of a risk to be an exclusive. So the only hope is that MWO is a success so the reboot can be started up again.

Is MWO out yet? I pretty much have to get every single game they put out regardless, and I'll be more than happy to give it a go.
Edit: This is the trailer I saw, btw.
Second edit: I decided not to be lazy and ran a search to answer my own question.

Elect the Dead was pretty good. Empty Walls and Sky is Over omg. Also to the above comment I personally like SOAD better than Serj's solo album, the solo album is more serious and I liked the playfulness of SOAD's music. Glad they got back together and hope they start releasing albums again, SOAD and RATM are like the only two rock bands I like and listen to still to this day.

-Back in 2007.
-Watching Spongebob while babysitting my cousin.
-New PS3 arrives.
-Go upstairs to set it up. Cousin keeps watching show.
-Start it up, get to the whole profile creation process.
-I hear shrieking from the T.V. downstairs, with one of the characters on the show yelling "MY LEG!"
-It flowed right onto my username.
-I now use it with every other gaming system/forums to this day.

My username originates from italian horror comic book Dylan Dog. Dylan Dog is a private investigator specialising in paranormal activities (or "nightmare investigator" as he usually calls himself), former alcoholic and ex cop. Dr Xabaras is his greatest nemesis and father, something along the lines of Sherlock Holmes/Dr Moriarty relationship. Its one of the greatest graphics novels ever created that raises deep philosophical questions about nature of man and absurdity of life. Sadly there's maybe one edition of Dylan Dog published in USA (by Dark Comics editorial) and whatever you do - avoid this movie. Its one of those Hollywood "let's make a movie based on comic or videogame that has nothing in common with original work" crap

There's this brand of T-shirt that I used to wear back in high school a lot: "Big Dogs". The school's annual Mr. Universe-eqsue competition for the senior guys was coming up, and some of my lady friends coerced me into signing up. I couldn't think of a name, so one suggested "Mr. Big Dog" because of the T-shirts I always wore, another suggested changing the O to an AW. So everyone started referring to me as "The Big Dawg" and the name just stuck. Wherever some form of "TheBigDawg" is already taken (the bastards) I add J to the end because of my name, Josh. And that's the story of my screen name.

Mine was based off what was written on my T-Shirt.
It literally said "Live Your Life". And yes, I like the song from T.I. as well.

I was really bad at naming my characters in RPGs, and could never come up with good names. While I was playing Warcraft III, I noticed the sword named Frostmourne, and thought that maybe I could change it to fit as a character's name. I got a character name, took the surname as my username, and I've been using it ever since.
Unlike most people think, The Bourne Supremacy was not an inspiration source.
(As a side story, my previous username - MANY years ago - was Megatron, which was inspired from the main rival in the game Electronic Popple. Only later I've learned that it was actually the name of the main antagonist in Transformers.)

A few years back I wanted to create a rogue-like fox character.
Since I'm not too good at naming characters, I called him shadow.
Then later I thought that shadow is a dumb name for a character.
I renamed him Tzell, which means 'shadow' in hebrew, to make it sounds better and mysterious..ish :P

I got mine from a table top RPG called Shadowrun Technomancer - someone who can access the Matrix hack and control electronics/robots/cars using only there mind.

mine is a variation of the latin word cadere(edit: caedere), which means to kill, my name, caedo, means "I kill" as I mostly play shooters
I wanted a name which needs education to understand and be different from others
the leetspeak is because I want people to understand the name only with a second view

Unfortunately, my username is too long for most systems to accept, but I use variations of it wherever I go. It is: Incognito Mosquito. Was BSing with my friends and we were saying strange things and I came up with Incognito Mosquito because it sounded funny. Fast forward 5-7 years, and I finally got sick of using "Scorpion" as my username and spend a day trying to think of something interesting. For whatever reason Incognito Mosquito came back to me, probably because the previous discussion took place in a gaming store while watching people play Unreal Tournament. It is now my username of choice. I found out 4 years later that it is also the name of a childrens book series, as well as a band name. Which unfortunately means I can't get the gmail address i want :-\

I'm curious ;D I promise I won't laugh if it's a stupid reason!
I came up with Yatterman after playing Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom way too much and using him as my main character and the name just stuck with me.
