crackign games is like playing with the dark side, it might be okay to you but it just feels better buying the game, one you own it as long as steam is alive and 2 no problems with lag or needing patches if u hack and three if you hack all day long the game looses its gameplay value as you will just play for a min then hack another game,

I know you weren't asking me, but let's see... a quick history of the Windows versions I've used:

  • Windows 3.11 for Workgroups: came pre-installed on my dad's laptop
  • Windows 95: came with my new PC back in 1997
  • Windows 98: bought the update
  • Windows 2000: bought the OEM version with my new PC
  • Windows XP Pro: got a free genuine copy from Microsoft via university program
  • Windows 7 Pro: (I didn't bother with Vista) same as above
  • Windows 8 - didn't buy and not using, because not interested

tl;dr: None of these were "hacked" versions.
