I don't know about you, but my AMD has lived for two years, still counting, overclocked at 25%. All Nvidia cards I've owned and my friends have owned died out in about 6 months to a year. What was that about lifespan?

I guess I shouldn't get involved in this and I don't really have a horse in this race, as you say, but... Your personal experience does not actually count for much scientifically speaking and more heat does actually shorten the lifespan of integrated circuits.

I agree! I had two Nvidia's. One overheated, second just stopped working. Switched to AMD, no problems. Maybe bad luck, maybe not, but I choose AMD from now.

Nvidia gives away games for new purchases nearly all the time, they just gave away Rise of the Tomb Raider for January/February purchases of GF970+
Looks like they want to empty their digital-keys warehouses, most of those games were in their GPU deals since 2013...

I think its programmed to go after CPU first and IF AMD to check if its on the list.Then it moves to GPU.
