Your favourite tree?
If you are blacklisted - that's probably because I was browsing entries to my GAs in the middle of the night while beeing drunk and thought that adding somebody to BL is a good idea. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So yeah - just reply here and I will remove you. or not but rather yes. Yes.™

I took an acorn and put it in a pot.
I then covered it with earth, not a lot.
Great pleasure was mine watching it grow.
The first budding green came ever so slow.
I watered my plant twice a week
I knew I would transplant it down by the creek.
One day it will be a giant oak,
To shield me from the sun a sheltering cloak.
Lovers will carve their initials in the bark,
An arrow through a heart they will leave their mark.
It will shelter those caught in a fine summers rain,
Under its leafy bows joy will be again.
Creatures of the wilds will claim it for their own,
Squirrels will reside here in their own home.
Birds will build nests and raise their young,
They will sing melodies a chorus well sung.
Under it’s branches grass will grow,
Here and there a wild flower it’s head will show.
My oak tree for hundreds of years will live.
Perhaps the most important thing I had to give.

Now I want to plant one. I love those last 2 lines, and the thought of something I did or created living and lasting for hundreds of years like that. That assumes nobody chops it down of course.
Having children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and on and on would be similar in some ways, but it would be different people as each new generation is born. With the tree it's the one constant thing for all that time.

Probably that's why a man should plant a tree :)

Aspen trees. I like the way the leaves look and sound in the wind.
I wonder what kind of tree the paper for Terry Gilliam's Time Bandit Map they would have had to have used?

This goofball of Monty Python fame has made many movies. One of which is Time Bandits... so, I wonder, other than toilet paper, what kind of a tree would be used to make a the paper for a map of all time and space?
And, *NO just any old shrubbery would do for making such a fantastical map! Not unless it was transported by a uber-mystical holy swallow traveling at the greatest of air velocities across treacherous terrain, vast dimensions and a lingerie shop around the corner of said lumberjack's home. Then, MAYBE...

Yeah... go enjoy his movies now knowing he is part of the Python clan

I know he is part of MP :) Didn't know about Time Bandits :)

Only a mind as pleasantly warped as Terry's (or any of the other Pythons) would have been able to make a movie as deviously twisted and hilarious as Time Bandits, Brazil or as visually delightful as The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
Seen some his movies already. And I really I liked them :) Maybe I should watch rest of them xD

I am doing the same. I started thinking of movies from my childhood. Found Time Bandits... then I went off track watching all of his stuff and the other python's work like12 monkeys.

We've all been blacklisted at some point, but the real question is... can you recognise a larch tree from the distance?
