What's your favorite local co op?

Some that haven't been mentioned:

Towerfall Ascension : my fav! Has intense vs modes and co-op
FORCED - A fun action rpg / puzzler, can get quite difficult
Hammerwatch - Like an old school gauntlet reboot, fun but repetitive after a while
Hidden in Plain Sight - Fun stealth games
The Jackbox Party Pack - Played with smartphones, most games need 3 playres though
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes - a blast!
Laura Croft and the Guardian of Light - Fun co-op puzzler/shooter like the old Tomb Raiders, don't bother with the sequel
Lethal League - It's like smash bros with baseball
Magicka - Fun & challenging platformer
Mount Your Friends - Goofy QWOP-like game, fun though
Nidhogg - 2 player swordfighting game
Risk of Rain - Rougelike platformer, pretty fun
The Yawgh - It's really a choose your own adventure for multiple players, cool concept and fun game
A Fistful of Gun - A co-op overhead shooter, the different characters playstyles add some variety. Bundled recently.
Jamestown - Retro space shooter / bullet hell. Fun with 2 players.

Battleblock Theater is awesome.

I've just found out about Pitfall Planet, which looks like a great co-op game.

Very sad fact: The last time I played local multiplayer game was in 2001 (Tekken 4 on PS2).

Hey! I should really thank you for posting this. I really need to know some great local coop games.
I bought a Steam Link the other day (and it will be delivered in.... like 10 days.... but anyway) to play local co-op games on my PC! So I was looking for posts exactly like this :D
All I could think about was LEGO games, so....

I have played LEGO The Lord of the Rings in coop mode when I play mostly with PS3. It was fun. I'm pretty sure other LEGO games are fun too. I've played 2 LEGO Marvel games (not coop) and they were really fun so..
And Virtua Tennis 4 is awesome! Although, I'm not sure if it'd work well on PC, now that GFWL is so broken. I haven't been able to play it with PC after upgrading to Win 8.1
Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed was okay too.

It's been so long since I've played local coop. 4 years ago maybe. With my PS3.

It is all Spelunky at my house. Always amazing at how awful we are at that game. Good times.
