Help!
After updating steam it says "failed to load steamui.dll".
I reinstalled windows and downloaded steam again and the error occurs again!
I dont know what to do now

Yes tried many of the googled recommendations. Nothing worked. Then made a new windows install and still not worked.
Did not yet call steamsupport because i read it takes weeks till they answer.

I had the same problem
restarting in safe mode,then deleting all steam files except app data and steam.exe worked out for me
After doing this it just updates and started working normally again.

Which also falls back onto the Google results and a fix for it, as already stated......

Try going to Steam/package and delete the file called beta.

This is ridiculous. I installed XP and I get the same error as with Win 7.
I installed Lubuntu and Mint but could not get Steam to work.

Yea right. I simply lost faith in this thread being real. Maybe your account is fake and Steam knows it? Installed across multiple OS's, maybe it is your PC? Have you tried Steam support? No, you haven't, maybe because you heard it takes years for them to respond... Yea okay...
