Since my old ones broke down, with warranty expired, i could use some new ones. But honestly i have no idea which ones to get. You guys got any suggestions? I'm searching for some with good music quality, not too big (since i use them a lot on bike etc) and price range at max 150€ or smth.

Jealous? Really? Anyone that knows about audio quality will tell you they are crap. Even these: link tears them to shreds.

I own much more expensive headphones then Beats, its not about the money, they are just branded crap.

P.S: The bass is crap, its bloated and cancels out the meds/highs.

Beats are terrible for anyone who wants to hear what their music actually sounds like.

Beats have decent quality, but nowhere near the quality that you should get at that price. They also have a reputation for breaking easily.
Get it if you want to look cool I guess, but look somewhere else if you value sound quality over aesthetics.

If its looks that he wants, he should get these, just as good as Sennheiser HD 25-1 II, a different sound but just as good and they look very nice. Also they are build like tanks, unlike Beats...

Stick to senns if you like your prev ones. And also what's your budget like?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah, until now i've always bought senns (current earphones too), but it never hurts to check if there's more :d
Budget should be around 100-150€, i'm not interested in the best of the best, since i use them for all kinds of stuff (a lot outdoors too)

Well my expertise is mostly in sub 70$ ones. So I dare not suggest what other people may call crap :\

Oh but don't misunderstand me haha. I meant 100-150€ as my maximum budget. If you got around 70$ you'd definitely recommend, i'd be glad to hear about them :)

These might be worth checking out. Pretty comfy, good audio (not "high-end-Sennheiser good", though), battery easily gives you above 6 hours of music listening, can be paired with many cellphones to work as a stereo headset too (with A2DP bluetooth).

If you search Head-Fi you'll hear people say that the bass needs improvement and the isolation isn't that great meaning that people will be able to hear your songs if you put the volume high, but it's still the best headphone you can buy which that amount of money. If you plan on looking for more headphones you can use this as a guide but the currency is in American dollars. Here's a picture.

From what I've read, the SR80i's are better... with an amp, but without the amp the SR60i is slightly better and cheaper.

Sennheiser HD 25-1 II (link)? It's a bit pricier, but these headphones are legendary. If I were looking for travel/universal headphones, I'd take them immediately. But I'm more for home listening :3

Sony's XB700 are great for the price. Got them myself for around $65 (which is like 5 euros...? I kid, I kid) I know it's a good deal beneath what you're looking to spend, but for non-studio headphones they are really good. Great bass, good acoustics, I listen to a wide variety of music and they perform for all genres I listen to.

Tohico's suggestion is good too :>

Also, le sigh @ first commenter :((((((((

Vic Firth has some good studio type headphones, but a few models are a bit lacking in bass for my taste.

Last time I bought headphones, I did most of my research on Head-Fi.org. Try it. But your wallet's not gonna like it.
In general, Sennheiser is still a good all-around brand.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Audio-Technica's ATHM50 yet. IMO these sound better than beats or bose and are a great investment if you're looking for quality headphones.
I bought mine from The Sound Professionals and they usually have discount sales on the ATHM50s every once in a while.

i use ath-a500's they're the most comfortable headphones i've ever owned. not to mention the sound quality is second to none for that kind of price range. although ive owned them for a few years now and they have been heavily used; the pads are kind of falling to pieces xD

EDIT: i think these are a higher price range than you are looking for; i was just making an audio technica shout-out xD
