I was disappointed with the November bundle but managed to trade almost all the games I didn't like for good stuff that made it definitely worthwhile. I am much happier with the December bundle and will have a few to trade there also. Staying subscribed for now!

I was OK with November MHB & thought the December one was better but not as good as investing $12 in the sale so depending on how much I spend in the winter sale if I have enough left I'll subscribe for the January MHB Who am I kidding, I'll have blown my monthly games budget in the winter sales and have nothing left for the January MHB

I had fun expecting and discussion these monthlies, but less so with the actual bundles (especially the latest one). I just unsubscribed. The novelty wore off and I don't think things are going to improve and make this a better deal than seasonal sales and regular bundles.

- payday 2 is an indie game, not aaa.
- aaa games are cool of course but expecting aaa games from a bundle site officially called the humble INDIE bundle (checking wikipedia now, i guess it's not the official name but the former name.) is kinda absurd. wait for the origin bundle 3 or something like that if you want aaa games from hb.
- this is a blind purchase. don't expect to know what will be in it. the best you can do is crossing your fingers for some hints but i'm pretty sure it was exclusive to the first month.
edit: people mentioned you can ask for a refund if you didn't reveal any keys. don't touch your payday 2 copy if you want to keep that chance (no guarantees though.).

Well, theoretically, you can ask for a refund even if you activate your products. At least in Europe, they would break the law if they would not offer it to you. They can cancel your games, they surely can arrange to cancel them on Steam too, they should offer the refund.
The problem it's that you bought one product and you should be able to refund one product. Meaning that you would not be able to pick the game that you want and refund others, as they are not priced.
And yea, i know that they say that they don't offer, but it's not up to them. If they prefer to break the law instead of offering refunds, they will probably suffer legal consequences in the future.

Happy with this month even though I had most of it, managed to get Banished, COH 2 and some one of the Payday 2 DLC's. Chroma Squad is a blast, my highlight for the bundle everyone should play that.

First, you don't get Payday 2 for free if you are paying $12.
Second, people who are following the monthly bundle since the first one are not rewarded since it's the second time that the welcome gift is a game from the previous bundle.

No, it isn't bad. You give a game from the previous bundle to attract new subscribers, or to get former subscribers to resubscribe. Considering that it's a blind bundle, it's the one means to hook someone with something they may want.
You don't need to "reward" ongoing subscribers. Their reward is that they get everything.

Agreed, that makes sense from their point of view.
But when the first bundle came out, Grimrock II was available as a sneak peek into the full bundle and I was happy with it.
A month later, Towerfall Ascension and now Payday 2 were downers for me since I had them from the previous bundles. And I'm already thinking like many that I'll unsubscribe soon.
So I'm totally with you: in the short term, what they do makes sense.
But in the long run, I think HB should reward ongoing subscribers. It's a subscription based bundle. If I had skipped last month's bundle, I could come back this month and still get Payday 2. So there's absolutely no incentive to get every month's bundle.
Well, anyway... I'll wait for January to take a decision.
