Oh, Valve does many things, just not things that won't increase the profit margin. And doing this would only cost money with no income growth. On one hand, it is a commendable business practise, on the other hand it is incredibly dumb to be in the service industry and be this profit-focused.

Just don't ask Valve to fix it either. Or they might realize there's too many problems with the APIs and gimp it further or just shut it off completely to "prevent abuse".

Recently, I did a few giveaways for game DLC. As it turns out (and please don't go looking for these people, this is not a callout post!), three out of the four people who entered one of my DLC giveaways already owned the DLC, causing me to end up with endless requests for rerolls and an overall feeling of disappointment.
Is there a way for DLC to be marked similarly to the base games in the future, so people can no longer enter if they already have it?
