How can someone scam someone else? I'm not in to trading and probably never will so I don't get it. Can't you both see what's in the trading window? why would someone accept when the other person don't have the things they should be trading?

sometimes, the game is either key code, or only giftable, so, one of the parts have to send the "game"first

Wasnt the general idea if someone is trading a key for a giftable copy the key goes first?

in steamtrades, yoou have reputation (either positive or negative) so, the one with less positive reputation should go first

example, i have 13 positive rep, and you have 8, ergo you go first and send me the key, if it everything is ok, i'll send you the gift via trade, if i dissappear with your key(malefic laugh) you can report me and give me bad rep, so another users are warned to not trust me, but im a pretty good user :V

Many people trade for keys, which can't be put in the trading window.

To be honest I would only do trades for stuff outside the trade window with people I know.

Is being an asshole your full time job, you damn leecher?

Calling someone a leecher without reason is hardly contributing either.

Perhaps you did not see his profile.

I can say that I saw it, and I can honestly say that's irrelevant. Being an asshole is independent from being a leecher, there's no need to bring it up.

If some deal looks too god then it's probably fake/scam or other s...tuff ;) In that cases you should make private auction online or something like that...

To all new traders, if something is too good to be true, it probably is. I've seen people being scammed when they were offered Black Ops 2 or Skyrim for their L4D2 or $5 game. Greed overcame their rationale.

If something isn't right, walk away or insist on using the trade window.

Even using the trade window, the game from the trade can be chargedback.

I once got scammed of Borderlands GOTY (while it was worth more) and I was already overpaying at the offer. -_-
