Are there any benefits for contributors in gaining points ?

As far as i know the number of points you earn depends on number (and value ?) of giveaways created by users. And its fine.
Does it help if you create a giveaways too?
If yes - how ?
If not - why not ?? You can implement the algorythm that would multiply the number of points you earn by the level you have.
Level 0 and 1 - you get A.
Level 2 - A x 1,2
Level 4 -A x 1,4 or something more balanced.

Reason - encouraging ppl to become contributors. Having more points you are more likely to win.

I saw the topic where ppl complain that they have 300 points and no cool giveaways to enter. But i bet its not a common problem...

Higher contributor level = The ability to join contributor only giveaways.

For example, if you are level 4, you may enter giveaways for level 4 contributors.

as far as i know higher levels don't give you more chance but most times when one of my giveaways is over i start winning more often for a few weeks
it should be some kind of bribe from SG, idk :V

No, higher contributor level does not give you a higher chance of winning by itself. What it does allow you to do is enter giveaways that only people with a higher contributor value can enter, and those tend to have fewer entries, and that in turn translates to a higher chance of winning, but everyone still only gets a single entry, no matter the level.

You already have a major benefit when you increase in level - you can enter the appropriate level giveaways. I don't think there's a real reason to also give more maximum points.

It doesn't. And it's fine as it is. Imo, levels are enough of incentive. What more, your proposal would slowly change steamGIFTS into steamSTOCKEXCHANGE

Actually sitting at 300P is pretty common among people who enter only GAs for games they will play.

There is enough encouragement already. This would surely only provide further encouragement to people of a particular mindset to enter for any old shit going, rather than solely for games they genuinely want...
