Yeah. There's only so many any one person can keep track of. Between Bethesda, Blizzard, Origin, uPlay, Steam, Twitch and probably a few I've already forgot about... it's just too much.

Gog Galaxy, and itch.io has a client. Plus if the company that bought it ever really brings it back, Desura. GreenManGaming had a client called Capsule but it had problems.

Gog is great if you want to keep up with older games. Anything prior to 2010 is Gog territory because they're better than Steam for keeping your games up to the latest OS.

This is the problem with digital content, the distributors hold your licenses on their servers, you have no access to your license!
This is how they prevent resell and competition.

"GameSessions offers a fresh option for gamers, letting everyone download and play a wide range of games for free on their own PC. During the trial, you'll have the chance to rent or buy in-game to unlock and play on instantly. You will then be able to play the game through Steam™, without losing your trial progress."

Only if you buy Steam key from them. This is what it says on the store page:

The free game is tied to your GameSessions account.

The Steam version is added to your Steam library and grants you access to Steam-based features.

you only can add it as a NON steam game without any chance to get the achievment?and what about multyplayer?

edit in fact here it is: In case you want to add Zombie Army Trilogy to your Steam library, we’re offering a deal to buy a key for $11.00 (75% off) in-game or on the game page. If you played it on GameSessions before buying it, you will be able to transfer your progress to the Steam copy of the game.

Improve Download Experience
Download game data from other PCs in addition to GameSessions servers. When this is turned on, your PC may also send game data to other PCs on the Internet. This can help speed up downloads for everyone.

I recommend disabling this option for security reasons and especially for those have data traffic limitations. To do so, after opening the installer, click on the settings icon (the cog) and switch the option to Off.

Thanks, I'll grab that. Fun game I had on my wishlist :)

The custom launcher isn't too painful, although not ideal. Just use the game icon on your desktop :)

I guess I understand where they're coming from: they need to advertise their launcher a bit. GameSessions seems to be about playing a demo/renting games before buying, not a bad idea in itself.
