I bought Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate a while back, and installed and played it for the first time today.

As most of you know, the ultimate version includes a lot of DLCs for the game, but some of the DLCs add some very expensive and valuable items to your inventory right at the beginning of the game, when you're supposed to be a nobody with no money, and fight noob enemies to level up!

Because there were no options to deactivate the unwanted DLCs, I deactivated them using a mod, but I wonder why so many developers and publishers do this crappy thing to their better fans and customers and offer items/weapons/etc that ruin the game's balance, as a reward for people who preordered their game or bought a more expensive version!

I think they are actually punishing you for being a better customer! :((

I thought this thread was going to be about "free to play, pay to win" games.
But anyway, Saint's Row 3 is like that too. I bought the complete package and, due to one of the DLC packs, got a jet and a tank right at the start of the game. But just like Fallout, it's easy enough to just keep your hands off of it if you're afraid of balancing issues, so I don't really see the problem here.

I get that. I bought Dead Space 2 on Steam and it had a lot of weapons, armors and stuff right from the start! It's a free DLC they added. More like a cheat DLC. Thankfully when I activated the game on Origin it didn't have this DLC included. It's stupid. They should let a buyer choose whether he wants to have this DLC activated or not.

Related video. (Starting from around 1:30)
Personally, I don't mind. It's optional right? Use it if you want.

Thanks, but my problem with FNV: UE was solved when I created this topic. It's only an example of a bad decision by developers/publishers. :)
