GOG forum topic

GOG did it again. Though it seems we have to thanks the publisher for willing to let users enjoy their DRMed games now and on the DRM-free platform(unless you already own it on GOG).

For people lazy to check the gog forum topic here is GOG connect

Full list of games available

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

It may take some time for GOG to detect your steam library so once you connect give it 10-15mins before checking for eligible games.

Here is the FAQ : seems half of the FAQ is important so you may just go check it yourself.

3. How long will these games be eligible?
Duration will vary from game to game – the time left to redeem each game is shown on its respective product icon above.

4. Are there any differences between the GOG.com and Steam versions of my product?
Importing your game will get you the complete GOG.com release – just as if you had bought it normally. The specifics may vary from game to game, but you can always check what's included on the game's product page.
FYI GOG versions often come with extras though lately the newly released games often come with less or none extras(OST,artwork, avatars, etc.)

6. Can I disconnect or change my connected Steam account?
You can only connect one Steam library per GOG.com account. This process is permanent.

12. Can I play the GOG versions of the games with my Steam friends(for mutiplayer ones)?
This depends entirely on the game – not all games support multiplayer gameplay between Steam and GOG.com.

13. What if I already own a game on both GOG.com and Steam?Do I get an extra key?
Unfortunately not – you will not receive an extra copy of a game you already own on GOG.com.

15. If I no longer have the game in Steam library, do I still keep it on GOG.com?
If a game is removed from your Steam account for any reason, such as through manual deletion or a refund – we reserve the right to remove the games from your GOG.com library.

Linked my account and own most of the games on the list, but all are marked unavailable. Still having issues?

EDIT: Guess it takes a second for the API call. Still missing some (like Van Helsing: Final Cut), but I hope it will resync and detect on a later refresh.

EDIT2: Sure enough. Might want to add to OP that it will take time for GOG to fully detect your library on connect, so connect and come back later before trying to redeem.

Give it sometime, the servers are probably on fire at the moment. But seems you arent the only one with Final Cut not being detected so it may be bug on their side.

Check your library - it said the same thing for me, but it was added to the library. As well as the first three VH games separately. Weird.
e- not weird, the GOG edition of VH: Final Cut also includes the separate games.

Wow! This a really good move. But I'll probably stay with Steam for now, I have too many games here.

Still you might want to join the crowd now and claim the games because they seem to be for limited time available only.

Yeah of course I will claim the games (although GoG can't reach the Steam Service right now), but I will still use Steam to play the games.

I like this idea for the simple fact if i ever lose my steam account for any reason like hacking or steam magically closing etc certain games I will have a backup method of playing. If that makes any sense > < heheh Very nice!

GOG regional pricing tends to be more favourable towards me.
Also if you got some free game on GOG ages ago, you would now have a chance to redeem it, like Torchlight

Steam has achievements, GOG has drm free for when steam ever goes down, different extra's, both have pros and cons.

"The eligible games are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned for more games to come."

This sucks tho.

Why isn't their own The Witcher 3 eligible?

Just kidding, I know exactly why

This is great news-- score another one for GOG. I don't have too many of the eligible games (and the transfer hasn't succeeded yet), but I'll keep checking back. Thanks for the post.
[Edit: Transfer succeeded...six games added to GOG library.]

Seems like a pretty nice idea, seems like gog always tries to find some ways to suprise people with new features, that are worth it :)
