So, I live in south america, and Brazil most of the time has the lowest price on games, but I live in another part of south america so the question here is, if I use a vpn to buy games on brazil for cheaper prices and me still living in south america, can I get banned? The game can be activated in my region. So i dont know, if anyone has tried or knows about this I would appreciate an answer, thanks for reading :)

You don't need a VPN for Nuuvem. They accept S.American addresses outside of Brazil, afaik.

Now if you're talking about buying something from the Brazilian steam store when you're not in Brazil, yeah. Don't risk it cause they'll ban you.

Anyway. When you buy a game at the Steam store as a gift, it shows you that it's a restricted game BEFORE you finish the deal.

Don't use VPN on Steam. I don't know about other sources, but as far as I know, VPNs are against Steam's term of service.

Yeah, don't use the VPN on Steam itself. At least not if you value your library.

As for caring if you get banned from reseller sites, I can't imagine that the actual sites care where you are so long as they get their money. It's the publishers that care, and as long as the sites do "what they can" (i.e., block by sales region) then that's really "all they can do". And if the publishers truly care, they'll create a region specific key.

That will change, of course, if too many people abuse it. But who knows what "too many" will end up being until it happens.

For now, Nuuvem blocks and unblocks depending on what's going on (mostly blanket blocks to cover for abuse issues until they plug the hole). A few weeks ago I couldn't even add something to the cart w/o VPN, and now everything is fine. Obviously make sure you're buying something that can activate for your region.

Nuuvem bans Chinamen, so I buy from Nuuvem with some random IP via VPN, pay them with US dollars, and activate their ROW keys just fine in China with no vpn needed (of course) and use the games normally.

Also i read some article few days ago about the fact that steam also plan to let you able to play games you bought on some country, only in this country. Wich mean even if you use vpn to activate keys or something, you won't be able to play those games unless you ause vpn again. wich is against steam terms of service, or something like that
P.S its something that i remind so i may be wrong.

You cant buy games if you arent in Brasil, Because the currency is Reals, you need to talk to support to change your currency and use the vpn to buy games, too risky, and as people said Using Vpn is against SteamTOS
