Sounds nice, but have you tried official steam translation groups? Take the greek one for example. I'd gladly help (for greek translation) but have you discussed with any game developer about you idea? Do they seem interested?

I guess you are talking about games that have been accepted in greenlight, otherwise the list would be huge.

I can help with Polish, got a FCE certificate

I'm not sure how much my time would let me do it, but I guess I could help with games with lower amounts of text. That means visual novels are a no-no but platformers with stories and dialogue (like Cave Story or Treasure Adventure game) are okay. Maybe I'll apply with my hungarian knowledge...

My situation is like TheGreenFairy, and I can translate is Bengali.

I've been in the business as a part-time freelance (don't ask how that works) for a year or so now, so I'm sure I can provide English to French and possibly French to English (although I still make a few mistakes here and there, mainly with those small words).

I can help with Spanish, but my question is, you need to have certified language knowledge? im from mexico and i learned English cause i live in Tijuana and some friends from USA forced me to learn.

Oh my, I really would like to help you! I can translate games to polish (I've put italian, though I know not too much, really ^^"). Anyway, I hope I'll be able to help you as I'd like to work as translator in future :) If it's good enough, I have translated some things to Steam Translations, so I have experience.
