Well, considering it is being released a year after, I highly doubt it.

Why? Different teams, probably started developing this in beggining of 2012. AC3 had a 3 year development cycle and it was the worst AC, so I dont see how the release date will negatively affect the game.

A triple A game that has been in development for 1 and a half years is bound to be terrible.

Well, it seems to be the other way around sometimes. Aliens:CM for example... Both Brotherhood and Revelation turned out good with 1 and and a half/2 years development. AC3 was made in 3 years and it sucked the most.

Aliens CM while being under development for a while wasn't exactly being developed for that time.

But Brotherhood and Revelations were too short to be worth their £30 price tags.
I can guarantee (if it has only been in the works for 1 and a half years) that AC4 will be buggy on the PC, short, overhyped, and just as bad as AC3.

We will see. Rumour is that this is being developed by the same team that did ACB and ACR. Didnt felt like Brotherhood was short though, at least my run of ACB was longer than AC2. But I can see how that can depend on each personal case. Probably a shorter "main quest" overall, but for me it did have many more hours of fun and gameplay. About being buggy on the PC, that depends. If its done by the same team of ACB, ACR, I would be happy. Those ran surprisingly smooth on my average pc.

It was overhyped, had a terrible port, and just didn't meet expectations.
Compared to other AC games, AC3 sucked.

I liked it, you can't deny that the sea battles are one of the most awesome things that happened to AC series! Plus I don't get it what kinda bug bothered you that makes you say it was a terrible port, I didn't have any problem at all.

I noticed many bugs, like objects floating, texture popping like crazy, various instances of ragdoll physics going mad and making bodies flop around worse than a Magikarp having an epileptic fit, collision glitches thatmade the player or other npcs get stuck inside a wall or other objects thus rendering gameplay impossible. THough with all the problems I found in the game it remains the best next to Brotherhood in my book

True, I did notice some of those bugs too. but AC3 is not a perfect game, no game is! Maybe I should have said like this, there aren't any game breaking bugs only bugs you might see in any other game too.

There are plenty of game breaking bugs in AC3. On top of what jbrown87 said, there were so many issues with frame rates in the towns. People would go from 40FPS to 10 on top of the range cards.
AC3 had an appalling port. You were lucky you had no issues.
Also, I agree that the sea battles were awesome, but that isn't enough to excuse such a poor game.

Indeed, or else I'm done. I never was into the ship battle sequences in ACIII, but now that Ubi found that people liked that they milked another AC this year.
It also should follow the story after that terrible ending on the previous title, either way I'm more hyped for Watch Dogs, promising CGI Trailer but better not disappoint again.
