I second Firefox. Chrome is my first pick but if that isn't working then Firefox is the only other option.

Try Firefox.
The selection of add-ons is great and there are add-ons that can make it like chrome.

the best add-on is the Add Blocker :)

You shouldn't use it if you show the least gratitude towards the video uploader. The uploader has to make money too

That's the most shameful bullshit I've ever seen. I don't really respect the ones youtubing to make money.

I really only like Chrome for its speed, Firefox is my actual browser favorite (though they def have changed the ui to look like a Chrome clone, which sucks)

Luckily you can get the old UI back by modifying settings in Firefox.

I actually use Internet Explorer from time to time (not recently, though, since I've grown accustomed to Chrome as of late), and I honestly don't see why people hate on it so much. Yeah, it can be a bit slower than the others, and it doesn't support custom scripts, but it's still a decent browser to use if you're not too into the fancy stuff the others have to offer imo.

do you even know how many work hours ive spent to make websites look good in IE as they look without a fuss in other browsers ? IE is few years back with industry standards - and is locked for upgrade since it is an integral part of windows ie. you cant have IE10 on vista nor you cant have IE9 on xp - and since microsoft is on IE10 now and thinking of IE11 - there are no future updates for older IE - thus - killing the whole freakin' interwebz.

Opera has been my main browser for years. For the past month or so my PC has been dying so I haven't really been using it. Bought a new set up last week and installed Opera a couple of days ago. It's almost a completely different browser now. I don't like it so far.

I personally like Firefox because I have been able to customize it as much as I want and its decently fast. My main 2 reason for using it is noscript and adblock. Those 2 addons alone have helped kept my system clean from any of those crappy drive by infections that are out there.

Why do you people like Firefox that much? I've tried numerous times to get into it and it just feels bulky and not user friendly, and the moe extension there are the bulkier it is. I'd still be using Opera if there was a way to change default search engine in newest versions.

Beats me. Still using Opera 12.16 and don't plan on switching too soon. I'll wait for bookmarks, custom search engine, sessions and customization options on the new Opera.

I'm waiting for that too. So far so good except for the "No Linux builds part"

Oh yeah :))This one is just no brainer. Cut off the platform on which Php & MySQL feel like home :))

Seriously, I do have problems with resource usage on Opera 12 due to "high amount of features", the devs say.
But from this to cutting off all features and even a platform is a long way.

When I heard Opera will switch to Blink I knew many Opera specific features will go away but I surely didn't expect this.

Let's just hope the next Dev build (Opera 19) includes that. It should be out next month or so judging from the pace from 16-17 now.

Because you can customize the UI and aren't forced to use the bad Chrome-style UI? The upcoming UI change for Firefox (Australis) makes the default UI even worse (it got worse earlier with FF4). Good thing there's Pale Moon, which won't be implementing Australis.

Personally I find removing functionality from the main UI and hiding it behind menus the opposite of user friendly.

Been using Opera as my main browser for more than 10 years now. It's by far the browser with the highest customization options and the fastest for me.

Wouldn't trade it for the world. Or the new Opera.

Firefox freezes a lot for me and Chrome is slow as hell and has serious rendering problems if left idle for too long.
I do have them all installed for web dev & testing but can't use them too much. I simply don't like them.
