Just got an SMS with secutiry code to change my passwod. Tried to login to diablo 3 and failed. How is it even possible for thieves to change your pass without entering the verification code you get by SMS?

p.s. - have anyone here got his account stolen, how long does it takes to be recovered? (i already submitted a ticket)

My Steam account was stolen about 3 weeks ago, I contacted Steam Support and they made a password reset and Secret Question Reset too.

Your best bet is to contact Blizzard and they will probably ask you to write something next to the Diablo 3 Key and then you submit it and they get you your account back :D

Step 1) Download an .onion router

Step 2) Search a hacking site on .onion

Step 3) Learn Hacking

Step 4) Track his/her IP

Step 5) Connect his/her PC

Step 6) Search your account name on logs/cookies

Step 7) Go Reset Pass.

Step 8) Play Starcraft/Diablo/WOW !!

Now you are a hacker :)

...er, yeah. Because you can just inject yourself into firewalled machines by IP address. What's more likely is that OP got a drive-by malware drop from an infected banner ad or something, and it spat out a keylogger onto the machine and then the fun begins.

Try again when you know what you're talking about.

Step 3, "Learn Hacking". lol.

Contact Blizzard and get them to freeze your account and send them your ID and game codes, and they will sort it for you. Don't worry too much, it can be sorted.

They're usually pretty good with getting your account back within hours (even minutes). Getting the items back that the hacker stole could take up to a week though.

And after you get your account back... GET AN AUTHENTICATOR and use it!

Even a free one for mobile/on pc will make your account practically unstealable (is that even a word?).

Some time ago, I remember reading that Battle.net got hacked. Some of the authenticator and password information apparently got stolen.

I haven't used my battlenet account since I first got Starcraft 2 and I still get dodgy emails pretending to be battlenet automated responses asking me to change the password. What a load of crap. Criminal scum.

They should review you ticket in 2-3 hours, then they will lock your account and you will have to submit proofs that account is actually yours.
Get authenticator man.

When you get it back and if you noticed time was added with a credit card that is not yours, make sure you tell support to remove the time and the credit card. My account was hacked 3-4 years ago (it was inactive for 1-2 years before then) and when i contacted support they recovered everything but I still had 30 days of game time left. I sent another email to them telling them the hacker added the time with a stolen credit card, and asked them to remove it. They did nothing and 30 days later I got my account banned for chargeback on that credit card. I simply contacted them again and included the original email I sent 30 days earlier. It was unbanned the next day.

Of course thats assuming you have wow on your account. Check purchase history for Diablo 3 when you get it back as well.

I'm saying make sure they didn't add a credit card and buy stuff with it. You'll get banned unless you tell support as soon as you noticed the credit card and the purchases made by the unauthorized person.

I didn't (and still don't) have my credit card on my blizzard account, you can get their products for cheaper from other stores anyways.

Blizzard got hacked a week ago and they stole information so Blizzard asks people to change their password and make sure to send an email to support and call them if support does not reply
