Better delete this then :)
Would recommend reading the glorious FAQ and Guidelines as well to avoid breaking rules again in the future. There's some good stuff in there :)

only on steamgifts can someone be vilified and ratted out with malicious intent by rabid nutters, for making an honest attempt to warn against scammers.
this is honestly the best reason not to try and warn people here about things... not because its 'against the rules' but just because its not worth the grief and the hatred and the malice you receive from the people here.

It can be used for witch hunts. Like I could doctor a fake conversation with you and post it here and then everyone would blacklist you and maybe even the mods ban you unfairly. It keeps the drama out.

Aside from one comment, no one here is being malicious or vilifying. We're attempting to enlighten him to the rules of the site and persuading him to remove the offending content rather than risk a suspension. Even if his warning is helpful and his intentions good, it's still against the rules of the site.

It's probably the only site where reading the FAQ is actually important, not because you have questions, but because some rules have evolved from a very peculiar group of people running this site. I've been on here for a while, and I'm always amazed at how some of the rulings, while set for good reasons, have become so twisted.
That, and people on here just love to report.

It is always best to just report the user with whatever issue that is legitimate, rather than open a discussion calling that member out. Even if it is true and they did in fact scam, or whatever they may have done to you or others. It isn't up to us nor you to decide what happens, what happened, or their guilt or innocence. It is a good rule.

True, but it isn't up to us too go on a good old witch hunt. It isn't healthy for the community. And what happens if the member is in-fact not even guilty of whatever you say they did? There usually two sides to every story. It is just best to follow the rules and let the chips fall where they may.

I posted screenshot ( now deleted ) of obvious scamm where he asked me to go first with the trade and linked the real persons steamtrades profile, while he had the same name but his avatar was slightly different. So I checked the real persons profile and in his description he had links to the scammers and impersonator of his as well as the account of person I was actually talking to AKA the scammer...
So the person I called out is impersonating and scamming, while my so very heavy and unforgivable violation is just warning I gave to other people. And some who commented here actually wanted and probably did report me -_-
There is nothing more to say
I'm out

At the end, it's better not to start witch hunts. For you it may be clear, for outsiders it may not be. That's what steamrep.com is for. Anybody can fake a screenshot, of any site, like this example. You don't even need any program, just the browser. I'm not saying that you did it, but you can't trust screenshots.

Quick tip from one of the friendly rabid nutters here. If you click the "reply" button below the comment you want to respond too, the person your talking too will get a notification and it keeps the thread a tad bit more organized as we can see who's replying to who. :)

Is there a good place to post and call out steam scammers? (Obviously not this site or network of sites.) I am getting tired of lvl 0 private profile screenshot posting fake trades.
It seems as though all I can do is add them as friends, wait for the inevitable message and report them, quoting the message.

blacklisted all three of the rules lawyers. (best part is, they can do it back, but it means nothing since 2 only do private give aways and one hasn't done any in over a year)

Deleted because scammers obviusly can't be called out and they have higher place than people who are scammed on this forum -_-"
I so very deeply apologize for calling out someone who is trying to scam people -_-"
Anyway...please watch with who you trade, and double check, triple check the person who you find suspicious and is trying to offer you "To good to be true" offer.
