Hey everyone,

A small update to the site today based on a couple of user requests. On the account page, under the Steam category in the left column, you'll see a button to the new friends page. Keep in mind, before anything appears on that page, you'll need to sync your account.

The page will list any of your Steam friends that are registered on SteamGifts. It's sorted by how long you have been friends on Steam, and it includes a quick shortcut to add or remove those users to your whitelist. That's it. Hopefully it'll help you connect with your Steam friends in our community!

Yup, works like a charm. Now that's what I call a "friendly" feature. 😄 👍

Very nice feature. 75 of my 99 friends are SG users (unfortunately, some of them have been inactive for years)

I kept syncing and wondering why it wasn't working, then I remembered I had made my friends list private under Edit Profile > Privacy Settings. Turned it to public and it worked great. Cool feature, thanks.

Happy factory day =D

Happy cakeday! All the ones I bluehearted are already from discussions :) except two new ones. It took a bit to look through them, many didn't use SG at all at 0/0 though registered. Half my "friends" are from steamtrades and half from groupbuy xD

Happy cake day!

FYI to others regarding user lookups on SG: If you have the Augmented Steam extension and you view someone's Steam profile page, it adds additional links to the sidebar above the Groups list that includes a SteamGifts link that will redirect to any SG profile the user has with this URL: www.steamgifts.com/go/user/SteamID64 ("SteamID64" is a really long number corresponding to the Steam profile)

That URL can be used directly if you have someone's SteamID64 value, which is often shown when viewing someone's profile, but if not it can be looked up by various means such as on ST, SteamRep, etc.
