What's your favorite part of video games?
I like it when my choices customize or change the gameplay. To me, the most important parts of a game are the story, lore, and characters.
I can relate to that :) Alpha Protocol, as flawed as the gameplay was, had masterfully handled choices and consequnces 👍

Happy early birthday! I've always loved stories, so a good storyline will always be the main draw, or so I say, but gameplay is actually most important to me, which was not a single poll option, sort of. As in, a city builder should have good building and UI elements or economy, an RTS should have balanced combat etc, an rpg should have those character customization and story choices, and if I know a game is supposed to be a puzzle game, then I'd rather have interesting puzzles over a good story.

Oops, I got too specific with the poll answers and missed gameplay. It makes perfect sense, after all, if a game is unplayable, it could hold the most amazing story ever and it wouldn't matter if the gameplay is a headache. That goes for every game. Thank you for sharing your viewpoint and sorry I missed the obvious.

Happy early birthday, Blueaquapearl50!
Can this wait? I'm in the middle of calibrating xD
I like Javik's quotes especially how he threw out of the airlock :P

Garrus, at this point, if you haven't calibrated it well enough, maybe you just suck at calibrating ¯_(ツ)_/¯ LOL!
Jokes aside, Garrus is my absolute favorite characters of all time and as far as best friends go, he's the best!
Also, Javik + throwing annoying people out airlocks= One Happy Prothean

But the best friends will be always Wrex & Garrus
Shame Wrex come along with you only in ME1 & ME3 Citadel DLC
Always hoping I could bring more than 2 companions, always wondering how Javik interact with Wrex, Garrus, Legion, etc
Well he's the only Prothean that can be happy xD

Thanks for the train! I have followed and joined. I'm all about games with good stories.
Like a year ago I expressed interest in Firewatch and an online friend said I had to play it and got me a copy and I loved it. Your choices don't really matter but the characters in that game were just fantastic. And that was the game that opened my eyes to walking sims. The other one I really enjoyed was What Remains of Edith Finch. It had a good amount of variety and one level in particular will stick with me for a very long time.

Thanks for the game suggestions (and for joining/following)! Firewatch sounds really interesting, I hadn't heard of it before! I've heard What Remains of Edith Finch is good, I'll have to check that out as well, thanks!

Wow, it's already July now, this year has really flown by! Since this is my birthday on the 14th, I figured I'd give a little now. :D
Also, I've recently started a group for story-rich and choices matters games called Your Game Your Story. I would like to hear about my fellow gamers' favorite games and the storylines that have stuck with them through the years. I've always loved reading and storytelling and that has affected the kind of games I like to play. I like it when my choices customize or change the gameplay. To me, the most important parts of a game are the story, lore, and characters.
I've set up a curator group to show off some of my favorites. I would appreciate people joining and following the group and curator. (It isn't required but I plan on doing group giveaways and it's appreciated.)
