Very nice!

Am I the only one that doesn't quite understand what the "thing in front of the tower" is supposed to look like in the original drawing, not this image in particular? I just can't make sense of it.

Immensely useful to have the original for reference, thanks a lot!

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I don't think this is exact the original. There are plenty similar photos from that focus with different shuttles and launches.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Good point, you''re probably right - but close enough to be a perfect reference in any case :)

Permalink

Also people didn't draw first launches, when fuel tank was coloured with white. Everybody just leaves it brown.

I bet it's on a twin planet to Earth that's camoflaged itself so we don't know about it! They are secretly sending rockets to spy on us!

So, I know it's a bit similar to my entry in the other challenge, using a comic style, but they are quite different the way they are drawn, so I think it's fine. I had to look up how chat bubbles are drawn in Tintin, because I was never a big fan of him sorry, and the way Professor Calculus talks. This is quite obviously inspired by the cover to Destination Moon.

I don't really see why you think you have a problem with your smoke clouds, stop being negative all the time :p

Because I don't get what I want. I always have problem with smoke clouds. White ones is easy, smoke just too hard. About negative: also as usual I am jelous about others skills.

That I understand, as I don't get what i want either most of the time. You have to be a little more flexible with the results :p Don't be, you're way more skilled than I am. Look how many times you finished first in all those weeks, that should tell you something.

Funny thing: I almost didn't draw before this event. I just made some comic speech-bubble for existing photos and once made gif out of 3 pictures. That was all photoshop skills that I had. Also I don't like how I'm winning. 2 my most favorite images didn't get it.
