Im am currently low on money and I am interested if CS GO is worth it, I asked some people already but all they tell me is no because they have a bad score and they hate the game. Literally thats all I got. It is 5,25 Eur in Europe Tier 2 (currently). I seem to be enjoying it but how repetitive is it? What is the locked game mode "Operation: Payback" ? And I have found a Black Ops Nuketown map but when I go to "Find game" nobody seems to be playing it, only standard maps. I really like Arms Race but are there custom game modes like CODish (Dom, FFA). So can someone give me some constructive criticism on the game.

I am aware of that I and I said that I am really enjoying it, but how repetitive can the game get?

I find the classic competitive entertaining quite a lot, but if you're into more COD:ish games, maybe you should go buy some Call Of Duty game instead?

I find it hard to spare 5 Euros, how do you expect me to pay 50-60 or whatever the current prices are

I don't see any game better than it for that price, but I'm not the one to say wether you like the game itself or not, atleast I have played it 117 hours now.

Ultimately, it comes to your own decision. Opinions of others can help sway a little, but that is never the final factor for liking, or disliking a game.

There's the free weekend going on, download it and see for yourself.

Wow, it's been 4 comments and not ONE person has complained how CS 1.6 or CS:S is better. I'm amazed.

CS:S is better!
Or, maybe I just got bad at Counter Strike since I played CS:S the last time and that's why I don't like CS:GO ;D

wait, didn't people complain about CSS being worse than CS1.6 when it came out :O?!

Yes, everyone does it. It's not just for CS either. Every game. The fanboys think it's cool to talk crap about every new game before even playing it.

Okay, here is the deal. There is a huge difference compared to the switch over from CS:S to CS:GO than from CS 1.6 to CS:S. CS:GO has changed so many things (some correct and some should have not been changed) that makes it as if it is not another CS game. In my opinion, CS:S is a better game, followed by 1.6. Frankly, Valve should not have outsourced this game; however, I have nothing against the company they outsourced too. Well, that is my jibber-jabber.

I don't like change, so I used the free weekend to try classic mode with dust2 and italy... I don't know, why get another game if one already has some of previous CS titles... It seem to be just money magnet like these trade cards...

I wanna buy this but at the moment I'm broke. How high is the chance this game will get 75% off on summer sale?

Very low I think, I'm expecting a -66% first. It will be in the Summer Sale for sure though and it won't have a higher price than this, probably a bit lower (-66%).

Its a good game but CS source is better since it was out longer. I personally like the mods for CSS and CSGO doesn't have a whole lot of good mods out yet.

All of your responses vary a lot. Leave the fanboy-ism aside. I feel like CS GO is more profined or fine tuned so to speak than CS S, and as a casual CS player I do like it more than Source (which I do own). But my question is how many hours can I play this without getting bored. What new does it really bring to the table. I not being a pro CS player tend to die a lot (Im not horrible its just I most likely wont see the end of the round), besides "Search and Destroy". I really like the small things like controlling the bot when you die. But what about game modes/maps.
