this site is scam or p2w?
Dude, it's purely random chance. You could enter ten-thousand times and never win once, but you could also win a hundred times and win every time. Just binge-enter until you win something.

Dear OP, most of the users are SG are running on "negative", because they give more than they receive.
You only gave out one game and hope to win AAA title?
Personally I have sent over 300+ games, yet only receive 19 games. Should I complain? No.
If you wanted to win a game, join Steam groups that are dedicated to giving away games. Usually you must give away a game at each month, but everybody is doing it so the chances are way better.

I wager that it is actually the opposite. Globally it must be zero sum as for every gift given there is one recipient (not counting fake ones in this). But I think majority of the users have received more than given as larger contributions are centered around minority. Few generous people give gifts to the many. Would like to see real numbers and statistics for this - could be that I am completely wrong. Anyone got cg's number?

I guess you are correct. Most of the users should be in the receiving side.
No data, but I guess we could see groups with large number of people (like PC Gamer group) have skewness to the left, where majority of their users are level 0-2, and very low number on the upper range.
While we could blame on higher level requires more points (like level 8-9 is way harder than level 1-2) but we could see that this supports your theory that more users are receiving (on the positive) than users that are gifting more (on the negative). A quick check on this topic alone could also show that some users are receiving more than they give.

I think it is merely the natural flow how content is produced on the net. Small minority forms the contribution part and consumers are the clear majority (e.g. any messaging system the ratio of posters and readers). Also, developer giveaways generate lots of receivers.

Anyone other than me blacklisted this guy already?

I don't Blacklist members, but if I did. I might because of this Thread.

I've only ever blacklisted two people. One was being totally inappropriate, but I eventually cleared him from my blacklist. The other one was being a total jerk, and he's still there. This guy isn't on my blacklist.

I don't Blacklist members
And everyone does what they do for whatever reasons they want though I suppose.

Not everyone blacklists every damn person who makes their eyebrow twitch.

Well, technically one could argue that although the choosing of the winner is random, the permissions for entry and entrant restrictions can still be P2W or elitist in nature. I'm not sure if the OP is questioning the winner selection system itself, or the overarching entrant system, but if the latter then his criticisms could still be valid even if the winner selection system is entirely fair.

I will agree in advance, if by "entry restriction" you mean the required account value ($100) for entering SG in the beginning. Yeah i agree, it's a little steep, for some may be close to impossible. Beyond that, i can't find anything restrictive, levelling seems fair and there're many giveaways for many tastes (and wallets).
Of cource we all see there's a bond between a high SG level and a big wallet heart but i think that's also fair: a big donator should be closer to win $bigbuck$ games where smaller donators would have tangible chances of getting low-value bundle games -and only hope for winning a AAA game while entering a giveaway with 1k-3k entrants.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure -and my suspicions get stronger his complete absense- the OP only bothered only for his win/lose ratio as a part of a bigger scheme. Also his choice of words (scam, no win) is a small indication towards it. ;)

I was suspicious at first too but i won and received a copy of metal slug 3 only yesterday, its just random luck over 2500 people entered that one and my odds must have been lower than 1% all luck just don't expect to win.

Chance was 1/2784 or ~0.04%. Someone was bound to win but you beat quite low odds.

Shoot yourself in the kneecap, that'll take your mind off not winning anything here...
edit and like many others on here, I'd already blacklisted you before this thread was birthed...maybe it was because you've bitched before, maybe it was because your name looks like vaginas to me...I guess no-one will ever know...except The Shadow...The Shadow Knows...

I remember this same kind of discussion from this same member. Impatient to win. i2w gets you listed I heard..

† One of the giveaways, my first one, was deleted. It was a test and therefore does not count.
‡ One of the giveaways I won was not received, so technically I've only received 24.
This is current as of my posting this and will continue to rise over time (especially the middle column).
My point? You need to be patient. Yes, some elitism exists on SteamGifts and yes, there are sometimes scams; however, these are exceedingly rare (especially the latter), so it's not accurate to describe SteamGifts as either. If anything, you've only now lessened your chances by complaining, since numerous people have probably blacklisted you as a result.

You haven't even entered 1000 giveaways yet. Give it some time and some truth.

it's like lottery or casino just it's free, remember odds doesn't have memory so every time you flip a coin you may get same result .

I've been here for two years and not a single game won. This site is a scam.

It would help if you actually entered giveaways! :D

Now I am genuinely curious why you use this site as the core functionality of it is not what you participate in? If you are not gifting nor entering giveaways, does the community section itself provide enough activity?
