It's definitely gotta be Haunter, because......well, I guess because I love creepy stuff and Haunter is the creepiest Ghost Pokemon to me :)

Haunter will just kill you. Drifloon will steal your children. Yamask are the ghosts of humans, they even retain memories of such.
Chandelure will burn your soul, and force it to wander earth for eternity. Banette is your childhood doll coming after you for revenge.

Theoretically dark/ghost is best because it has no type disadvantage.

Ghost type is weak against Ghost and Dark, isn't it ? :o
Dark is better, it's weak against Combat and Bug. But no one plays with a Bug, so...just one weakness.

Dark resists ghost and dark, so both types are neutral. The only way to inflict super effective damage onto a ghost/dark type is by using a fighting move, which would only hit under certain circumstances due to the ghost typing.

I used to play the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generations. I know that rules have changed since with the Fairy type, and there are new badasses in town.
But with the old generations, Alakazam (or Mewtwo in the endgame of course) was a killer. Of course I had to change him occasionally (when facing a Dark type, etc).

"The most loved Pokemon Type" and "the best Pokemon Type" are two different questions. ;(
I love Psychic-type Pokémon, but I might consider Dragon-type the best as they have a few weakness and resistance to many types. ♥

i guess it's sorta different between your favorite type, pokemon and the most powerful one in your op.
my fav type would be fairy, cos fairies are cute. favorite pokemon would be ninetales (which was why i voted for fire) and most powerful, err, dragon type?
but i always tries to over level my ninetales to try and beat everyone :D it's difficult but, eh. IT'S LOVE!

For me it's fire. Dunno why, but I ALWAYS take the fire starter.... But my fav pokemons are not firepokemon. Just from the looks I like the 'cuties' more. Like Pikachu every Eevee version and so on... :D

Dragon used to be the de facto best type, so much so that gamefreak was forced to introduce a new type (fairy) specifically to nerf it.
My favorite pokemon is Heracross, but I can't really find any wallpapers of it now. Maybe I'll edit one later.

Because of an ongoing event i got curious which is the most loved Pokemon Type here on SG?

My favourite Type is water because i always used the water Pokemon as my starter Pokemon :D
Therefore my favourite is Piplup also because its a penguin :)
