I suggest you to try and ask for a refund on Steam, even if 2.2 hours already passed.

Yep. Ran out of keys. What a joke.
Spent all evening yesterday getting errors trying to redeem, and then this morning it was dead.
Comment has been collapsed.
I idled for 7+ hours in the game yesterday, tried many times to redeem all evening and well into the night. But I only have so much dedication to getting free keys and I had to sleep eventually.
Not my fault the Devs can't handle a proper giveaway without letting bots snipe all the prizes. I sincerely doubt they actually sold 185,000 copies to legit players.
Comment has been collapsed.
I feel lucky now. I literally did all this just in the last 12 hours: I bought the game; let it run for 3 hours; visited both sites using Firefox; logged-in; got the 10 codes easily and very quick, all codes working, no issues and no delay.
Now I read that people who were way before me were trying to get them all this time and never could... and now the promo ended. I'm really sorry for them.

That means you haven't enabled everything on your profile that was required.

oh well guess i no longer need to waste more time installing it right now

How is this type of event allowed on steam? This feels like easy way to bait lots of people into buying game so they can add trading cards , items into point store and get their game promoted in Best Seller part of the store.
Comment has been collapsed.
how are people like you allowed on SG very few giveaways made and many won
Comment has been collapsed.
There isn't any requirement to make giveaways in order to enter them. If you don't like the fact people like me are using this site like that you are welcome to lock away your giveaway behind level or other requirements via third party tools. I'm just curious about giveaway the devs of Mirror 2 hosted.
Comment has been collapsed.
i normally do, and i know there isn't a rule against just using this site for winning and not giving and many people do this but i don't like it much
well i was going to say feel free to enter when i do have a giveaway for your level or leveless (which i have from time to time) but since you blacklisted me (which doesn't bother me) i guess you can't
Comment has been collapsed.
I understand your point. This site wouldn't exist if there would be only people like me here. If i get enough disposable income i might giveaway more than those 3 games I already giveaway.
Comment has been collapsed.
thanks and my welcome of your entry is still ok if you ever feel like entering
Comment has been collapsed.
These are sort of big publishers, they allowed to add trading cards for their games by default
Comment has been collapsed.
I actually agree with you. I think it's pretty abysmal Valve doesn't step in and prevent them from these practices. Developer and publishers that have changed names and accounts like 5 times in the past, early access game with less than an hour of content, super poorly optimized games, asking users to make a purchase and farm hours in the game in exchange for the dev giving steam keys of older titles basically buying out a good rating for a day 1 game if that makes sense, and an overwhelming majority of reviews, 94% to be exact coming from one country alone, aka China, and the rest 6% from the rest of the world.
Thankfully for me I wasn't interested in this title or the ones they were giving away, but I'm interested in the situation and to see how far Valve lets them push the limits.
Comment has been collapsed.
I had almost 3 hours game Playtime. 5 minutes before i passed the 2 hours i checked the website and it was still available. of course not when i was finished. i asked steam for a refund and they refunded the money. no matter 3 hours playtime
Comment has been collapsed.
If you like match 3 games, it's pretty decent, albeit short (now at least). It's a blend of VN - match 3 with slight adult content that can be entirely ignored. You can probably finish it in under 2 hours if you want.
Comment has been collapsed.
It isn't ready yet. Only 1 chapter. Imo it will get finished because of the history of mirror, who the devs/publishers are and how well mirror 2 is doind (aside from the promo) + they never left an unfinished game so far. But that is just my estimation.
No hentai scenes yet or a patch
Other than that it's ok as match-3
Comment has been collapsed.
Just an FYI, you won't be able to get a refund as you've played more than 2 hours.
Just curious why do you feel they misled people?
Comment has been collapsed.
Exceptions to the 2h rule for various reasons have happened. It's not so unheard-of. But it is rare indeed.
I'm curious as well on why he/she feels they misled people
Comment has been collapsed.
It may seem funny to you, but having to idle a game for more than two hours to get something that they don't give me is a scam, be it 1 euro or 1000, if not they refund it because nothing happens but in the future I will be more careful with this kind of arguments.
Comment has been collapsed.
So if that's your reason, that's not a scam as they do clearly state "Various Steam Keys, 1,600,000 in total. Each participant will receive 10 keys until the Steam Key stock runs out of keys." You're going into this knowing that they could run out of keys.
Comment has been collapsed.
I got my keys on time, but I find extremely doubtful that they sold 160,000 copies in less than 3 days... sure there's no way of probing it, but I would feel scammed if the promised keys weren't 1,600,000 as they claimed.
Comment has been collapsed.
Why doubt so extremely? Read about this https://www.pcgamesn.com/steam/number-of-copies-sold . The game has 17k reviews, so even with a multiplier of 10 it can easily reach the 160k copies sold while in reality that number is much higher.
Comment has been collapsed.
well, the game don't shine because of its quality or content, most of us got it because of the promo (I would think).
Anyway... I got my games so, no complaining.
Comment has been collapsed.
For the asking price, it's decent enough quality to entertain some hours, but as you are saying, I got it because of the promo as the primary reason.
Comment has been collapsed.
Why doubt so extremely? When there's a history of lying and stealing among other things I think don't think it's unreasonable at all to doubt them.
Comment has been collapsed.
A quick google search got me nowhere, what is this history of lying and stealing among other things?
I've seen smaller games fake reviews, but usually around 20 and sometimes up to 100 positive reviews. I don't think you can fake 17k reviews, it's too big of a number. So the number of reviews is a good way to tell the number of copies sold.

When this promotion launched I posted a comment about what the Sentinels of the Store posted back in 2018.

Thanks, this was informative.
It seems their priority was, or maybe still is, to aggressively promote their games and gain popularity while not giving a damn about anyone else. Numbers > developers.
Comment has been collapsed.
SteamDB estimates there is between 340k-950k owners based on review numbers, and SteamSpy estimates between 1m-2m based on concurrent players and average playtime.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, very true. If they didn't give out all those keys then yeah, it would be a scam so it would be understandable to feel that way. TBH I don't believe they are giving away 100 Switches.
Comment has been collapsed.
You had 72 hours to get a limited amount of keys. That the keys were limited was communicated upfront, right at the start of the event. You decided to enter the event very close to the deadline of 72 hours being over. The limited amount of keys ran out before you finished your task.
So there is only one person to blame: Yourself. There was no misleading.
Edit: Try giving away at least one game, it is even more fun than winning games.
Comment has been collapsed.
You'd have thought they might have at least made one giveaway with a game that was free at one point in the past 8 years, even the poor can do that...
Comment has been collapsed.
Excuse me but what 72 hours deadline are you talking about?
The event was supposed to be for 7 days, From Jan 21, 2022 2:00 PM to Jan 28, 2022, 2:00 PM (UTC+8)
But it ended in less than 52 hours:
Event Started: 2022-01-21 09:00
Event Ended: 2022-01-23 13:00
Their first steam post about the promotion is actually from 09:14, many people heard about it much later. Also everyone needed 2h 20 min playtime before the event ended. Let's say people had about 48 hours to get the reward. The post here for instance, was made 14 hours after the event started.
I know several people are happy with the cheap price of the game and the free 10 key promo that's why they are defending the devs, but the thing is most of the sales came from that promo. They literally sold those free 10 keys instead of the game and made people idle/play the game for more than 2 hours so that people can't ask for a refund.
Many people bought the game while the promotion was going on and they couldn't get the free keys because the developer claimed they ran out of 1.8 million keys while they were running the game and trying to reach that 2h+ playtime.
You can see how they turned the release into a huge success with the promo even with an unfinished game, but they actually sold the promotion not the game. Well when you buy the game for the promotion and get nothing of it, then realize you can't refund it because the devs forced you to play it with that promo, it kinda looks like a scam.
Comment has been collapsed.
The whole server busy thing went away for me the moment i closed the game .
iirc steam doesnt exactly properly share your play time till you close the game.
I got my keys the second i tried to get my lucky number on the site after i close my game.
Dunno about people talking how the dev scammed/mislead people ... it was clearly mentioned they gonna run it till they run out of keys .
For me personally that was nice promotion they did for their games . Obviously they gonna profit from people selling all the cards from the games they gave away for free so its a win/win situation for everyone .
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, I can understand people who were too late and didn't get the keys being salty, but saying it's a scam is serious exaggeration
To be honest, I'm finding such kind of deal much better than typical normal free givaways when the pool of free keys going poof and being exhausted within the blink of your eye.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's not a scam, but it is shady. I do like that they gave away nearly 2 million keys, but trying to circumvent Valve's refund process isn't very wise of them and wouldn't surprise me if Valve bans publishers for trying similar things in the future. It also inflates the top seller count cuz a lot of people aren't buying the game because they're interested in it, they're buying it because of the limited time promo. I just feel like if they keep doing this they'll get in trouble with valve
Comment has been collapsed.
If they didn't add the gameplay time requirement it would be much worse - thousands of scammers would buy the game, register in promo, get the keys and then ask for refunds.
Valve accepting refunds after 2h of gameplay are shooting in their own feet as it's only encouraging more and more customers to bend the rules in the future. You need to draw the line, when it's 2 hours allowed then it should be only 2 hours and not a second longer and the exception of this (if any) should be REALLY extraordinary
Comment has been collapsed.
i hope they do because since the mess with 0 CV on all their games bundling together at any point might be a bad seller now
Comment has been collapsed.
They gave million of keys for free - I don't think they will notice buyers from SG at all, there is no chance people would give away this much of their game for free.

I dunno, is the game bad? I like match 3 and the graphics look quite nice for such a game.
Would have joined this campaign if I had known of it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, the game's pretty bad, poorly optimized as many reviews will let you know, lack of content(people seem to be done with the game in 45 minutes), but you got anime grills. Is it better than other match 3 games out there, of course not because it's not about the match 3. Is there animated sexualized anime women? Yep. Depends what you want/expect from it.
Comment has been collapsed.
For the price their asking and the fact it isnt finished, i think its far better than it had any right to be
Still, this talent is wasted on a match 3 game that does nothing to inovate the formula, would rathee play bejeweld 3 instead.
Comment has been collapsed.
Or we could say this talent is wasted by not making a proper hentai game and just taking the damn match 3 game out anyways since they're not gonna focus on it anyways.
Personally the "it's a dollar so the lack of content isn't that big of a deal" is an interesting concept to me, because there's hundreds of free match 3 games out there and probably at least 50 with better mechanics than the original mirror and this, just without hentai, but it's not like you can't find anime pics anywhere and everywhere.
To me it's kinda like people got convinced to buy this game because they get free keys, not because it's good, because atm it's basically a demo.
Comment has been collapsed.
Personally I enjoyed Mirror 1, I sank about 20 hours into it and decided to back Mirror 2 on Kickstarter BUT I don't think they should have released Mirror 2 in it's current state, at least not as a 'game'. This should have been a demo, like you said...I followed the development on discord so I wasn't surprised by what was released but I'm sure a lot of people are who didn't keep up with the development news. I think the game has potential given time but in it's current state I wouldn't recommend it to anyone even at the current price.
Comment has been collapsed.
I like your take since you can present the game as it is in it's current state from the point of someone who's interested in the content, despite it having 18 000 overwhelming positive reviews to me at least it felt very low effort and I'm not into the genre itself either. Maybe I could've justified the effort if it was their first released game, but they clearly got funds if they can afford to give 1.6 million keys away for free, and since they probably have 50+ other games under their multiple accounts. For those reasons too, early access mostly makes no sense to me, I can find some reasoning, but not in the way it was executed at launch.
Comment has been collapsed.
The game is fine. It was a little over a dollar and gave me 3 hours of content getting all the endings with the match 3 gameplay. People are just butt hurt they got in late and didn't get the free 10 steam codes.
Comment has been collapsed.
Bought the game for the second campaign and yeah, I don't feel like I wasted my money, but in all honesty I would not be able to recommend it to anyone unless I knew they were really into animated bewbs.
I usually like match 3 games, but I just did not enjoy the gameplay in this one. And maybe it's because the game isn't finished yet or because it's mostly about the hentai, but the story felt weirdly thrown together and as though I was missing half the info.
Also didn't help that they started the game with way too much text info for the first match game instead of just make it like a proper tutorial and introduce the effects with simple games. It's not like I didn't understand the info, but I'd rather play 3 easy games and learn the skills/items from there instead of reading through "walls" of text.
Comment has been collapsed.
Can't say I agree with the first part there. I mean it's not like I was looking for porn or anything, but I did not think the game was sexy in the slightest. Would have helped a lot if the guy we're playing wasn't in a relationship while we are supposed to flirt with other girls for this game...
Comment has been collapsed.
Do I need to play Mirror 1 to understand the story here?
Comment has been collapsed.
No, you only have to idle Mirror 1 to understand anything...
Comment has been collapsed.
To give you a serious answer.
The storys of Mirror itself are not connected.
They are short storys of different worlds (planes).
My favorite one is the Orc one because it is so funny to read.
I have not played or bought Mirror 2 yet (most likely not until EA is over), but as far as i understand it, you will play an agent who will fight against threads comming from different planes.
So it might be that you will see a connection to a short story from part 1 but i doubt that you will need to know them to understand Mirror 2.

Steam Key Event restarts on Jan 28; New Nintendo Switch event; Bugfixes and optimizations.
We've collected thousands of feedback messages thanks to your enthusiasm. The following list contains what we've resolved.
To express our gratitude for the feedback we've received, we decided to re-open the Steam Key Event and start a new event giving away 88.8 (for good luck) Nintendo Switch Consoles ON JANUARY 28, 2022 (UTC+8).
Happy Lunar New Year everybody!!!
they posted that 1h ago
Comment has been collapsed.
I wonder how they are going to deliver 88.8 switch consoles.... are they going to break the 89th switch in 10 pieces or something?
Anyways, i doubt the switch giveaway is even real. I saw there are some wishlist event before this that give away a switch and i didnt see any winner announcement from them.
Comment has been collapsed.
You can see the winner through Mirror News Center. Maybe they will make announcement 28th or a bit later.
Comment has been collapsed.
Whoa, that's way too hidden. At least i know that they are really giving away those switches. I still doubt that the cost of the switches will cover their revenue from the game though. I mean, 100 switches are not cheap...
Comment has been collapsed.
Very soon they will up to 188,8 units. :D
Yeah, it looks a bit shady, but anyway let's wait for results. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Wow, they fixed the second raffle by now. But with my lucky number being in the millions I'm pretty sure there was an exploit causing the server to be too busy due to bot entries.
