Well lol i didint pass because appereantly i've made 8 givs for free games. Probably those who became free after a i have given them away.

Eh, I'm sorry about that. I need to make it just right somehow so it won't be too restricting :/

I've been wondering about this as I also have "free" games gifted. Is it supposed to work like this or is it some kind of accounting bug? I mean if we gift non-bundled games before they get bundled they stay unbundled so I imagined it would be the same for "free" games

I think once game becomes 'free' it doesnt really matter anymore. I know i had few 'free' games given away recently from one of the bundles but not 8 ,which mean something i have given months ago now counts as free as well.

Removed the custom rule, feel free to enter the giveaway :)

Thanks for the chance, SGT filter looks to do what you want.
I was not aware there was a filter for "number of free game sent". I am not too sure I like this filter. Right now I have 5 free sent, because I wanted to get rid of some old keys that have become free in the meantime. I will give more no value games with time. if you work with ratios in your first filter, wouldn't it be more in line to work with a ratio for the free stuff as well? Maybe something like number(won)/number(sent - free)?

Yes, that filter would be perfect. I only used SGTools a few times before, always with the basic filters so I'm not very skilled with those custom rules hah!

I tried to prevent people who created GAs for more than 6 free games from entering. Let's see if it works
that filter seems like a really bad idea...of course you can do what you want...but this will hit a lot of people who just wanted to get rid of old keys they couldn't give away in the past while knowing they wouldn't get anything in return for it...so I don't see the point

You know, I'm not exactly happy about that one either. I'd do just the basic ratio of sent:won games, but I wanted to exclude people who only give away loads of previously free games. I'll need to work on that I suppose, thanks for the feedback :)

I don't like real CV, I almost always fail to pass those kind of filters so it seems too restricting to me :D

Can't you use something like this: # valued games > # no valued games?
Never used sgtools to create a ga so I don't really know.

I don't know either, this was the first time I tried to do a custom rule :D

yeah, but like it's said - numerical value for such restriction is kind of pointless - someone who created 5 GAs for free games and is level 0 will pass your filter despite having 100% of free GAs (he ofc won't enter GA, but you get my point ;p), someone who created 7000 GAs and 7 of them were free (also consider that many games can get free retroactively) will not be able to enter as you will consider him a leecher despite only 0.1% of his GAs being free ;)

I'd never consider someone a "leecher", I hate that term ;) But of course, you are right. The custom rule's removed now :)

Ugh, sorry about that :( I'll most likely end up just removing that stupid filter, it seems to do more harm than good O.o

I know, yup. I most likely will end up removing that stupid rule by tomorrow, it wasn't meant to be this restrictive :/ By any chance, would have a better solution as far SGTool filters go?

Well, as I see it, giving free games is, by itself, not something to punish for, since it's clearly been allowed (to some degree) thanks to the new rules from last month. As I understand it, you're looking for something to go with the ratio rule to prevent free games from counting towards the # ratio. You could make a simple manual formula calculating the ratio without free games (so something like (sent_bundled_games + sent_full_cv games) / won_games, this is pseudo code by the way since I don't know how exactly SGT works, but I know it's possible) or you could simply add in a light real CV ratio requirement, as real CV already is the best measure accounting for all these things. If you set the real CV requirement low enough (my estimate would be at least lower than the # ratio), it will filter out people that have only given near-worthless games while still allowing everyone else a fair chance.
Thanks for your understanding!

Agreed, "punishing" it wasn't my intention ;) Didn't realize many people may give away free games in between their non-free giveaways and I didn't want to use the real CV since I'm not a big fan of that. Oh well, removed the custom rule ;)

The end is nigh! I reached 666 games on Steam just yesterday!
I had a perfect game prepared for this special occasion: Shadows on the Vatican Act II: Wrath. Perfect, isn't it? 😈
That's also the game I'm giving away, if you can pass the rather lax SGTools filter:
Hail Satan \m/
Assuming I did (and understood) it right, I tried to prevent people who created GAs for more than 6 free games from entering. Let's see if it works, huh.Custom rule now removed, it was bad and I should feel bad ;D Sorry y'all!
