Ok, let's assume I enter 3 giveaways for the same game, i.e. Deus Ex.

Now one ends in 1 hour, one in 1 day and the third one in 1 week.
If I win the first one, what happens with the other two? Do I automatically get kicked out of those? Because basically I wouldn't need them any more, and would only take away a chance for other people to win it.

You would be expected to remove your entries manually. Not doing so would result in a re-roll, unless the gifter is too lazy to check.

You remove your entry in the other giveaways. Staying in giveaways where you own the games is a breach of the sites' posted rules.

What if he's not at the computer for a day or so? Or 2 giveaways end at the same time and you're a double winner(highly unlikely as it may be)?

It has happened before with Portal giveaways.

All well and good but do remember that guy who won a few copies of Portal one night?

He went to bed and just won a bunch of the same game.

ahem. yeah, but back then we didn't even have any rules. but either way, if the OP wins 2 copies of the same games at once and isn't at fault for it, I don't think he should be insta-punished. he can still arrange a re-raffle, too

Assuming you're in multiple giveaways for the same game, the odds of you actually WINNING more than one of them in a very short amount of time are pretty much zero anyways.

But as the rules state you should remove them from your list as soon as possible.

Note that if you already own a game you can't add that game to the list anymore (once you sync of course)

I was in several Portal 2 giveaways. When Steam had Portal 2 on sale this week, I bought it and manually removed my entries using the search feature.

Ooh thanks for writing that. I forgot that I was entered in a P2 giveaway when I bought my copy this week.

Same, except I didn't use the search feature, just this page: www.steamgifts.com/manage/entries/open

Be sure to enter only one game at a time.

Presumably if this happened, you apologise profusely, explain how it happened and the giveaway gets re-drawn.

Here's what you do. If you say, Win one of the first two.:

Click 'Manage' at the top of the site.

Click 'Entries'.

Click the Filter Pull down at the top right of the box and set it to 'Open'.

Click 'Remove Entry' from all of the other Deus Ex Giveaways.

There, you cannot win the other one/two now AND you get your points you spent back on them.

That assumes that I am there when the giveaways end.

More than likely they would re-roll the other giveaways or you get multiple copies.

Um, I don't think it's likely at all that you'd get multiple copies.

I think a bigger concern, with small giveaways with multiple copies offered, you could win the same game multiple times in the same giveaway, then I have no idea beyond re-rolling.

You can't win more than once in a single giveaway.
