Hello. So, i bought Assassin's Creed 1 on steam, played it through the first 2 or 3 "missions" and then, i got this "mission" where i need to pickpocket some guy and steal a letter from him.

It says i should target lock him (F), then follow him and once i'm close enough, press the SHIFT button. I'm following the instructions, but nothing seems to work. I target lock him, follow him without raising any suspicion and then, when i'm about to press SHIFT and snatch the letter...nothing happens. I tried to restart the game, then i tried to restart steam...nothing seems to work.

So if you happen to know what to do, please help me!
EDIT: Ooook... I'm getting extremely close to him.

You have to "bump" into him

I'm pretty sure i'm getting so close to him to be able to give him a prostate exam.

Never played the series, so I don't know much. But perhaps watching youtube walkthroughs may be helpful?

I've watched walkthroughs too, but anytime they press the shift button, Altair (the character that you're playing in the game) tries to reach the target's pocket and once he's close enough, he snatches the desired objects...
In my case, i press SHIFT and nothing happens.

You have to be really near for him to pickpocket.

meh...i don't seem to find a good way to film it properly...I'll just let the game rot in my inventory, knowing that i will never be able to finish it because of one tiny and stupid glitch.
