Am I crazy or is the site background whiter than it was before?

I just want something that would help limit my searches. Trying to find "Solstice" among a shit ton of threads advertising "The Red Solstice" is a fucking nightmare. Worse if you are looking for older versions of games that got superseded by goty/remaster/etc. versions.

The fact that he is thinking about search functions is promising. Cg appears to be more active on this site which is also nice, so I'm hoping for the best :D.

That's another big problem, I guess using somehow the steam app-id should solve everything

A barter like system would be nice, but that would introduce a whole new slew of issues :/.

Technically you can search by app ID on SteamTrades, assuming the user included Steam store links for their games.
Solstice: https://www.steamtrades.com/trades/search?want=app%2F317280
Of course, this is far from perfect, but it's something to keep in mind.

As you said, this only works if a user adds a link on their thread, which is a rare thing (especially for those with lengthy trade threads).
Something along the lines of "Solstice" -Red (as suggested here) or something to that affect would be greatly appreciated. It is rather difficult to find games with either common names, or older version of titles that have been superseded by newer version (i.e. goty/remastered) without getting creative.
Where Solstice was one example I used, another one is trying to find The Whispered World which was bundled frequently among the large list of threads that contain The Whispered World Special Edition which also has been bundled extensively.
One is significantly more costly than the other, though it would be difficult to find the rare one among the endless threads that spawn from the current setup. This is why I'm asking for a search function that allows some sort of qualifiers instead of searching for threads with 'X'. I appreciate the work you have done, but this is something that has bugged me for a long time :/.
Also, when did searching by app become a thing? (On the trade side I mean).

We also need a way to search INSIDE trade posts. There was an option to do that before.

There is a level filter.
You can combine the app search as well. If you wanted to view Killing Floor giveaways level 5 or higher...

You could also use my BetterSteamFilters user script!

Hi SG, a new option has been added for faster searching. Next to giveaway names, you'll see a search icon, and by clicking it, you'll see all open giveaways for the corresponding game.
You'll notice it's searching using the Steam app or sub ID, so you'll only see exact matches. As well, redirects have been added following the Steam store format. This way if you're viewing a game on the Steam store, such as store.steampowered.com/app/1250/, you can quickly change the URL to steamgifts.com/app/1250/ to be redirected to available giveaways.
