True,but sometimes User A "hijack" your GA Thread to confront User B with this issue.It would be a way to keep your giveaway thread "clean".

Sometimes the comment section is the only way to contact the giveaway creator/winner when problems arise afterwards, though. Like when the winner received an invalid key for example.

rarely any creator instantly says in description that you can enter if you have base game. most of the time you see someone ask it then the creator answers them then they changed their description. it isnt on their mind while making the giveaway, so they forget. its extremely common

I mean I that comments can sometimes be annoying, and thua this might be able to be used in puzzles, but a change like this feels unnesscary and liw priority to me.

Buddy, there is a pretty simple solution to that.
In our scriptures (Guru Granth Sahib) it says "Murakh sang na lujea" it means don't argue with fools, because fools will not understand what you are saying so better use your knowledge elsewhere.
So, if someone is unreasonable and annoying just ignore him rather then letting him effect you in any way.

I guess as long as it was only strictly an option. I enjoy seeing comments and would probably quit even bothering were the site so impersonal and thankless.
I get that sometimes if you have A host of give aways running you can get the same thanks x10 from someone, but how hard is it to quickly read and mark read? It usually takes me under 1 minute unless there's something I want to reply to.

- Steam friend invite
- add a "Contact the winner" Button (only visible for GA Creator ) expressed in a simple way:Comment only for GA Creator/winner option
- ask support for advanced help

Perhaps if it were amended to "ONLY the winner can comment on the giveaway once the giveaway is over if commenting is disabled", I'd be more inclined to support the idea. Speaking from personal experience, getting a hold of a creator/winner is much easier here than it has been on Steam or through email.
Outside of that, I see no reason not to implement a feature like this shrug I wouldn't use it, but I can see where others would prefer it.

It would be nice if the GA Creator could turn off the comments when creating giveaways (No "THANK YOU" wanted,no offtopic discussion,no "Why I'm blacklisted" etc....
If you meet the conditions for a giveaway, enter, DONE !
