I once made somebody's day by dedicating him a painting for free... bastard was using me and not even once was interested in my as S.O. and had been faking it all up, he cut down every single communication with me after receiving it. As if I didn't have a low self-esteem already.
So, yeah.
But hey, that's some pretty damn awesome thing this guy did your you, some people even have trouble sending digital games and that person sent you the physicial version and even paid for the fees. 'Grats. ^^

I've sent out a few games myself. Final Fantasy X International, Suikoden 2, a bunch of other games. Right now I have a copy of Disgaea 2 for PS2, disc only sadly, that I'll send to someone once I have a bit of cash.
Its fun. Though found postage to the UK is expensive. Only sent games there twice, set me back almost NZ$50 for those two on postage.

Oh, that was only a fraction of it. That didn't cover the games themselves, or all the stuff sent to the US ($13 - $15 a package), Aus ($10) or fellow Kiwis ($5).
The total value spent on postage is closer to $150 - $200 after all this time. The games, no clue. Most were part of my personal library and had spent time just collecting dust. Better they are played.

I read this after checking amazon and worrying about how late the shipment for one of the figures I ordered is.
At least it gives me something to look forward to.

While we tend to notice and remember the unpleasant people, not everyone in the world is a putz. When someone does something nice for you, for no particular reason, he or she reminds you of that.

A couple of weeks back I saw someone giving away Red Dead Redemption for XBOX 360 on reddit, so I entered just for the hell of it, not more than a day later he contacted me and asked for my address, he even payed for the postage fee.
A week went by and I got a bit anxious, I thought it got lost somehow because I live in Tunisia and the guy sent it all the way from Australia and I know the mail in here is shitty.
Anyway, today, after about 18 days, it finally arrived, it was in perfect shape it even had a poster with the game map on the back.
My point is: I was desperate for games and someone out there came through for me which by the way was the first time I receive anything from abroad so you must get my excitement. Thanks to him I have a total of 4 games now.
Just wanted to share, you're welcome to share as well if you made someone's day or was lucky enough to be on the receiving end.
