Too many...
One would have to be Batman Arkham Asylum. It's a great game. I love it. For some reason or another, I'll just stop playing it. When I want to go back to it, I forget what happened and have to start over. I think I've restarted it about 5 times on console.

wow! Circus Charlie! That was a hard one, I never pass the six level, of course there are lots of other old games but there is always one DOS game which I never finished and I just can't believe that anybody could: Robinson's Requiem, one of my all time favs, but insanely hard!

Lost my save game for Ocarina of Time, only had Ganon left to beat. Didn't feel like starting over.
I also lost my save game for Oblivion when my computer got stolen. Had completed the main quest and a good part of Shivering Isles.

When I was 10, my dad brought home an arcade machine with Ghosts and Goblins on it. 25 years have passed since then, and I have yet to beat that damned game.
I have now gotten my 2 nephews started playing it in an attempt to spread the frustration and rage to a new generation.

I still find contra series challenging at present.

Dead Island. Lost the save the first time, but started again from scratch, but never got to finish it.
It was too repetitive, fetching things for others, turning on water mains, power switches and the such.

Agree. I solo until lvl 4x and... gave up. I mean I beat the game, but it's kinda boring like you said.

In the old days, when men were men and games weren't geared towards the casual crowds that can't put their head around more than 10 buttons on a controller, finishing a game wasn't something one just did on a regular basis. Back then finishing nearly any game at all, without cheating, was an achievement in itself.
So yeah, there are numerous games that I haven't beaten/finished.

The original Sonic on the Genesis. Same with Road Rash. No savegames.
