Dishonored or Borderlands 2? They're both around 10 bucks(I'll be buying the GOTY Edition)
Also should I just wait until the steam sale when it's cheaper?

UPDATE:Could any of you say why Borderlands 2 is good? I just never got into it.

UPDATE 2:I just saw the GMG sales and now there are more games that I want, such as Batman Arkham City.Any advice on how to not splurge? Because I'm trying to resist buying all of them.

Borderlands is overrated to me. Actually I do like the game but I hate how it forces you to fight a million enemies every 5 minutes. Think they should add a setting for that because it makes it repetitive and it gets boring.

Borderlands 2. A lot of play time even with the dlc and it might not get cheaper anytime soon.
(Same price during Summer Sale)

These two are quite different games, and it's pretty hard to tell which one is better. Watch reviews and letsplays, decide what you like more. I'd say Dishonored, and it's pretty cheap at gmg at the moment (if it's available in your region).

BL2 for sure. Solo or co-op, it's hella fun. With or without DLC, it's hella fun.

Dishonored has some interesting concepts, but it's not fleshed out very well IMO, plus you really only have one "character path"...in BL2 you have 4-6 different characters to choose from (depending on DLC), all of which play very differently.

Borderlands 2 imho is more like Torchlight 2 than a shooter.
Dishonored on the other hand, brilliant 1st person game, very much like Deus:Ex Human Revolution.

They´re both great games. But utterly different from each other. Make sure you like what you get.

Borderlands 2

It's not even a decision. BL2 has a ridiculous amount of engaging & hilarious gameplay that's fun by yourself or with friends.

Depends on whether you prefer a stealthy game set in a victorian steampunk fantasy world or prefer to just have tons of gun-crazy cell-shaded action.

Personally I think Dishonored is the better game because Borderlands 2 is as simple as it looks, any story Borderlands 2 possesses is just throw-away junk to facilitate a sequence of action events. That's not to say it's a bad game, but unless you want exactly what it offers and nothing more you'll be disappointed.

BL 2 is better. At least until you get into ultimate vault hunter mode, then it gets really hard that you can't possibly progress alone.I hate Co-op so I gave up playing.

Dishonored, I ditched Borederlame 2 within a few hours cause I couldn't stand MMO-pre-2006 questing in a shooter game.

Borderlands 2! For sure. The amount of content is huge! I just purchased Borderlands for a third time on my Vita and I don't regret anything! You can play over and over again and it wont ever be the same.

Both. Great games in my opinions, on of the best in their genres and the chance you will not like one is pretty low. Although I have to admit still did not finish BL2, but that is a compliment to the game length with tens (easily 50+) of hours of content compared to nowdays with about 5 (if you are unlucky) to 10( if you are lucky).

Dishonored has just a great story with plenty of way how to approach the actual gameplay, you can either go full guns blazing, slowly eliminate everything in your way not to cause to much noise or just come up with some kind of mix. Graphics great, story great, cool!

If you never got into the borderlands it might be cause it get some time to really start enjoying (at least it did for me). An hour or two will not make it remotely interesting, play a bit and you will enjoy it. Also, you need to come up with your own play style for the class you choose to be both effective and have fun in combat :)

First understand what both games are like and then compare with your own preference and decide. That is my main advice.

Lets elaborate, Dishonored is a stealth action/adventure game with special emphasis on stealth and variety of ways to complete game objectives. Its actually this element that gives the game its replay value. The other main attraction of the game is the storyline, which I really liked, especially how each chapter/questline is its own self contained storyline. If you buy the GOTY edition (assuming you are planning to buy from GMG for $7.49), you get all the DLCs too, which is a great deal.

On the other hand, Borderlands 2 is an action role-playing first person shooter game. Its main feature is online collaborative campaign gameplay along with all the other role-playing game staples. Now this game has a ton of DLCs released for it. Its a good game and you can sink a lot of hours into it but if you go for co-op you often find it hard to play unless all your friends have the same DLCs. Also buying all the DLCs can get a bit expensive. Get the GOTY edition if you can as it has all the DLCs released up to late 2013 (I think?).

Overall, I would recommend Dishonored for a really good action game.

Whatever you choose, have fun. Cheers!
