Why are there so many games on sale and ends when the winter sale starts? i dont understand...does this mean they wont be on sale?

Sometimes it means the price will change (lower or higher) or it may mean they are not in the sale at all.

It's tough but don't forget that you can refund a game if you haven't played it for more than 2 hours

Yeah, just add it to your inventory and decide later. I just purchased a game and will check tomorrow if it has a better reduction :)

I think Valve now has a rule you can't change the base price 30 days before/after a sale... There were some posts about that... Not sure... Maybe someone has a link...

Yeah, but I bet you can first add sale and then submit price change and hope it gets approved before sale :P

Most of them will stay at the same sale price during special sale.

Last sales, Rise of the tomb Raider was 50% off and the promotion was ending before the new sale...but during the sale it was at the same % again.

So for example, Deus Ex is -67% now and finish tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure the -67% will start over tomorrow again.

You could go ahead and buy it up now, and refund if it turns out to be cheaper in a couple days. Safest bet.

it means games prices are developer/publisher controlled. as to why developers/publishers do what they do? who knows. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I guess they're more visible 2 or 3 days alone before the real sale begin.
