well, I could trade tf2 stuff for it, but I don't have that much stuff in tf2

On SteamTrades, you don't have to trade stuff, there are plenty guys selling Bioshock Infinite keys for PP (between $20 and $28)

Should've just pre-ordered. I'd look for trades now if you want it cheap though, good luck!

But how would anyone play through the game if no one should buy it before others play it? Your argument is flawed.

I paid $45 for Bioshock Infinite, XCom: EU, Bioshock and the TF2 Hats. There were other deals around at GMG, Amazon and GG of a similar offer, if not cheaper. I doubt you'll see a similar deal for the game at that price/with those bonuses for a fair while.

Even once the game hits 50% off (which will take quite some time), it will be $30. The bonuses are easily worth $15 (and probably more if you trade the hats for a decent price).
Totally agree with the sentiment that in a case where the economic advantage is so great, and the chance of the game bombing so low, that a person should pre-order.

Why do you think that the chance of bombing was low?
And according to your calculation, anyone pre-ordering basically gets the game for $25-$30. I would not consider this a good deal for any game. And I'm sure almost everyone who pre-ordered the game has a big enough backlog to keep them busy until BI goes on sale for less than that.

The Irrational Games team has always produced high quality products with a level of passion and attention to detail which exceeds many AAA developers. If their history was not enough, you could see the passion in the bonus materials included in physical distributions of the game as well as in the trailers which featured game-engine footage (unlike Aliens:CM and many others). Bioshock Infinite was Irrational's next baby, and it shows.
$25-30 is a STEAL for the experience you get from this game. If all was just and equitable people would throw money at the screen, paying double or more what they were asked to pay because it IS worth it.

HA! I bought $37.70 worth of TF2 Keys (29 of them for $1.30 ea) and traded that for Bioshock Infinite Pre-order!
lolz...
To others: As it is right now, if you want BI, you can still get it on the steam group Hookups. They have a bundle deal for $35, Bioshock Infinite and XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

The fact that it is made by Irrational Games justified it for me and I can say it was well worth it. :)

Out of curiosity, how much would you be willing to pay for Infinite?

I really really really really really really really really want Bioshock Infinite and Bioshock 1. I already have the 2nd but I want to play the 1st one before that. But, I can easily afford the original Bioshock. My problem is affording Infinite. Does anyone have any idea when it will be on sale?
